last weekend i graduated with a bachelors of science in mechanical engineering. my mom finally sent me the photos.

I cannot wait to start the next chapter in my life. I remember as far back as 12 years old day dreaming about living in the city, having a big girl job, and wearing pant suits. It is no longer a day dream as I have accepted a position in Houston, Texas!

nothing could have prepared me for how difficult this was going to be but my mom (not pictured she said she doesn’t want to be on instagram) showed me it was possible. my mom set the example from the beginning by serving in the Air Force and getting her nursing degree while raising three daughters as a single mother. she to this day works two jobs to get her to where she wants to be. she has shown me what hard work, resiliency, and accountability can really do and i am so blessed to have such an amazing role model in my life. taken in Corpus Christi, Texas by @natalienelsonnn
