Last Saturday 7 March, was one of those unforgettable days where everything aligned beautifully, the planning, the emotion, the people, and the setting. I had the joy of photographing a heartfelt surprise proposal for Punn and Maggie at Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour. The day began with Punnā€™s friends slipping into the hotel ahead of time to prepare the room. They transformed the space into a romantic scene ready for the big moment. When I arrived, I was genuinely impressed, they did an incredible job setting the tone for what would become a lifeā€‘changing memory. Meanwhile, Punn and Maggie were driving up for the weekend in Auckland. What Maggie didnā€™t know was that this trip would become the start of a brand new chapter in their five year relationship. Their story began in the sweetest modern way: when Punn "slid into Maggieā€™s DMs" asking if she wanted a badminton partner. A simple message that sparked a connection, and eventually, a relationship filled with shared adventures, laughter, and deep affection. When the moment finally arrived, Punn dropped to one knee and asked Maggie to marry him. Her response was instant and full of joy ā€” an enthusiastic yes that lit up the room. He presented her with a stunning bouquet from The Botanist, and the beautiful ring from Cullen added the perfect sparkle to the occasion. After the excitement settled into happy smiles and warm embraces, we wandered through the Sofitel for portraits before heading out into Auckland City for engagement photos. The mix of city charm gave us the perfect backdrop to capture their newly engaged glow. Wishing Punn and Maggie the happiest engagement and a lifetime of love ahead.
