£20,000 sounds like A LOT of money 🤯
Until you stop looking at the £20K and start looking at the plan😉

One of the biggest mistakes we make with financial goals is focusing on the big scary number instead of asking:

“What would I actually need to do to get there?”

Because you don't need to magically find £20,000 📌

You need to work backwards from your goal and figure out what combination of TIME, SAVING, INCOME and SPENDING gets you there!

Maybe you need 12 months
Maybe you need 3 years
Maybe you need 5

Maybe you need to save more
Maybe you need to earn more
Maybe you need to spend less

Maybe it's a combination of all three 💥

So before you write off that big financial goal as impossible, do the maths.

You might be surprised by what the numbers tell you 💸 by @nataliescottempowers

Turns out being a little Type A about money has its perks 😂💸

When I decided I wanted to save £20k this year, I realised something:

- I didn't need to stop enjoying my life.

- I didn't need to say no to everything.

- I definitely didn't need to become a hermit who never spends money. 😂

I just had to get really intentional about what I wanted my money to do!

...and honestly? Watching that savings number grow became slightly addictive 🫣😭 by @nataliescottempowers

I'm sharing my monthly expenses because, yes, I'm a close-to-zero-based-budget girlie (exhales) 😅

Not because I'm trying to squeeze every last penny out of my life...but because I like knowing where my money is going before it goes there 🤣

- Bills? Covered!
- Savings goals? Accounted for!
- Investing? On the list!
- Fun money? ABSOLUTELY (because what is the point otherwise)? 🤷🏾‍♀️

But I know we're not all in the same place. Some of you are savvy savers with your sinking funds, pots and spreadsheets and some of you are currently in you 'I know I need to sort out my finances but I'm avoiding my banking app' era 👀😂

Honestly? Both are welcome here. You don't need a perfect budget, you need a money system that works for your actual life!

Are you running a tight ship with your finances or are you currently letting the ship sail wherever it wants? 😅 by @nataliescottempowers

Okay… I genuinely did NOT expect to be writing this post 😂

I set myself a goal to save £20,000 this year and when I checked my savings today, I realised I’d already saved £19,510.83 🥹

The funny thing is, because my cash is spread across different high-yield savings accounts, I hadn’t actually realised how close I was until I added everything together.

It reminded me of something I talk about ALL the time:

YOUR MONEY NEEDS A GOAL 📍

Earlier in the year, I was saving much more aggressively. Any extra cash I had went towards my £20K target, rather than just sitting in my current account waiting to be spent.

Now I’m just £489.17 away, so I’ll be saving £500 a month for the rest of the year and letting myself enjoy the fact that I’ve actually got ahead of the goal.

Honestly, seeing that number today gave me the little reminder I needed that small financial decisions really do add up!

Oh and what a summer it was ☀️
Summer for me is a time to get away from the socials and enjoy everything IRL and this summer I really did all of that and MORE 😝

I enjoyed so many highlights; girls weekend, local festivals, comedy shows, tasty dinners, book marathons, road trips plus more 😍

Am I ready to get my 'head back in the game?' 🤣 Let's just say you're never ready, you just get up and go!

Here's to the final months of the year 🥂 by @nataliescottempowers

Would you take the handout?

💷 This is not a government scheme – it's a policy proposal being developed by Labour MP Andrew Lewin and the Social Market Foundation

✅ You would need at least 10 years of National Insurance contributions to be eligible

💰 You could choose to access one year's worth of your State Pension early as a lump sum (currently around £12,547.60)

⏳ The trade-off is that your State Pension would start one year later (for most people, from age 68 to 69)

🚫 It's not a grant or free money—you're effectively bringing forward one year's State Pension in exchange for delaying when you receive it

💡 At the moment, there are no restrictions on how you'd spend the money under the proposal by @nataliescottempowers
