I can’t even begin to describe how these photos make me feel. They capture something words could never express.

As time passes and life rushes by, I’ve come to understand how fleeting these memories are and how easily they can slip through our fingers. I used to think I could capture these moments myself, never seeing the need for a photographer, but now I see the beauty in letting someone else help preserve them because it allows us to have photos as spectacular as these.

Last week I had the privilege of standing in front of almost 400 people to talk about @funsizeco and what we’ve learned over the last decade. It’s scary to present on stage but it’s so easy to be passionate about Funsize and what we’re doing, especially if it can help someone else learn from our success and failures.

Eight. 💙

Somehow you’ve become all of these things at once: endlessly silly, incredibly intelligent, quick-witted, genuinely funny, incredibly loving, endlessly creative, and always inventing something new.

You feel everything so intensely, and those big emotions keep us on our toes, challenge us, and remind us just how deeply you experience the world around you.

Watching you become more yourself every year is the greatest gift. We can’t wait to see what year eight has in store.

I was born and raised in Texas, yet Big Bend somehow feels bigger than Texas itself. The scale is hard to wrap your head around.

It was also so empty that it felt almost apocalyptic. I’m guessing the peak summer heat had something to do with it, but thankfully we prefer scenic pull-offs over hiking boots. taken in Big Bend National Park by @natalievi

We knew it’d hit 115°F in the desert, but we took the detour anyway. We were looking for somewhere to disconnect, and as fate would have it, we ended up at Willow House (@willowhouse_ ) in Terlingua.

Some places stay with you long after you leave. This was one of them. We found the space to slow down, ground ourselves, and I couldn’t seem to put the camera down.
