The District 4 seat on the Fulton County Board of Commissioners has officially been vacated effective Friday, March 6, 2026.

This vacancy comes after only 14 months of what is normally a 48-month term, leaving nearly three years remaining in the term.
Under Georgia law, when an elected official qualifies for another office and their term does not expire at the end of the year, the seat is automatically vacated.

The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections will now set the date for a special election to fill the remainder of the term. This means Fulton County taxpayers will have to cover the cost of administering a special election.

Many of the neighborhoods in District 4 are communities I previously had the honor of representing, including Summerhill, Pittsburgh, Mechanicsville, South Atlanta, Joyland, Carver Homes, and East Atlanta.

While commissioners are elected by district, we take an oath to serve every resident of Fulton County. My focus remains on ensuring residents continue receiving the services and representation they deserve during this transition.

We will share additional updates once the special election timeline is announced.

Fulton County deserves stability, accountability, and leadership that finishes the job.

— Commissioner Marvin Arrington Jr.

I 🩷 Atlanta, College Park, East Point, Hapeville, Fulton County, Georgia residents! This morning was another day of surprise about support and encouragement from a resident who stopped at the light and rolled his window down to let me know that he is happy that I’m coming back and will be voting for me. People are recognizing me even when I change my hairstyle. 😁🙏🏽💯

First and foremost, I give all honor and glory to God. Psalm 115:1 says, “Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory.” I know that every opportunity I have been given to serve, lead, and make a difference has been because of His grace.

I am deeply humbled and grateful to receive the RICE Community Impact Award. To the founder of the RICE Awards, Dr. C. Chandon Carter, the Board of Directors, the ambassadors, and everyone who works tirelessly to celebrate those serving our communities—thank you for this tremendous honor.

I especially want to thank every single person who voted for me. You took the time to say, “Natalie, we see you. We see your work. We believe in you.” And that means more to me than I can express.

This award is not mine alone. It belongs to every person and every community I have had the privilege of serving. Public service has never been about a title for me—it has always been about people, purpose, and making a difference.

I accept this award with a grateful heart and a renewed commitment to keep serving, keep lifting others, and keep doing the work God has called me to do.

Thank you, RICE Awards. Thank you to everyone who voted for me. And above all, thank You, God. To God be the glory!

It was a wonderful event on Thursday at the Commerce Club. The reception honoring SWAC Commissioner Charles McClelland was like a reunion ahead of Saturday’s game.

It was wonderful connecting with friends, elected officials, and members of the business community.

This one is about Mr. King because he NEVER supports anyone publicly. 😆
But today, he joined Natalie Hall (candidate for Fulton County Commissioner) along with HealthChex Cares for a community event. They gave out free food, clothes, shoes, etc. It was hot but so worth it. taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @nataliewhall

Former Fulton commissioner Natalie Hall calls for data center transparency as county opposes tax breaks

Updated on: August 13, 2026 / 7:36 PM EDT / CBS Atlanta

The debate over the rapid growth of data centers in metro Atlanta is intensifying in Fulton County, where former Commissioner Natalie Hall is calling for greater transparency around the massive facilities’ demands on water, electricity and public infrastructure.

Hall, who previously represented District 4 on the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, said Thursday that she supports the technology powering cloud computing and artificial intelligence but believes communities need more information about its costs before new projects move forward.

Hall, who describes herself as a more than 30-year information technology professional, said large-scale data centers can put significant demands on electricity, water, transportation and other public infrastructure. Those effects, she argued, should be considered before developments receive approval, rather than after surrounding communities begin experiencing them.

Hall is seeking to return to the commission in the Nov. 3 special election for the District 4 seat. Fulton County election records list Hall as a Democratic candidate and information technology director.

Hall wants more information disclosed before projects move forward.

Hall said residents should have access to projections showing a proposed facility’s water and electricity consumption, infrastructure needs, environmental impacts and anticipated permanent jobs.

She also called for disclosure of expected tax revenue and any tax incentives or abatements being considered for a project, as well as an assessment of the potential effects on nearby neighborhoods.

“Transparency must be non-negotiable,” Hall said.

“Economic development must also be responsible development,” Hall said.

The Reject movie screening had a lasting impact that is still resonating in Atlanta! The Atl screening was held Monday July 27, 2026 at the Southwest Arts Center.
The film reflects the resilience of Florida Commissioner & Attorney @kionnemcghee His life story is moving and tremendously impactful-especially for todays youth. The film sheds light on “post traumatic growth” and sheds light on how labeling, misinformation, judgment, stereotyping, and a lack of humility can cause youth nit to thrive and adversely affect their upbringing and life. Every Youth across America needs to view this film!
The Reject is pivotal to youth development and also sheds a light on the power of Faith. 🙏🏽
We do not shed a light on modern day hero’s enough like @kionnemcghee 💥
Round of applause to Actor’s @kamalanibello & @romeomiller & entire cast 🎬
Bravo to Tracy “TR” Reed, @marvinarringtonjr and the host of supporters that helped to make this film a reality and brought it to Atlanta,Ga ✨
The mission now is for the film to go across America and on the big screen!
