Was in a mood so I turned it into this.

Playing dress up n making videos of myself have been outlets of mine for as long as I can remember. I was exploring my mediums far before I knew their names or purposes. One of my first memories is of cutting up a Barbie skirt in preschool and then putting it in my pocket because I was scared I would get in trouble if someone saw it - I think l’ve always felt this way about my art - scared I’d get in trouble if someone saw it. Not always in a literal sense, but even as I post this at 24, I still get scared of all the people that do not get me... especially my very christian family who I love so dearly but will likely never get me (not a diss I love you all)

I didn’t make this with this song in mind at all. But as it went so perfectly I then realized how symbolic it was to exactly how I feel posting this and thinking of those people. I used to believe I was a “bad girl” for following my curiosity and breaking the boundaries I was taught to live in. But that has never been true. If my perfect outfit n creative expression means having my boobs out n acting however I want to act that’s exactly what I’m gonna do!! This may seem minimal to some but I have broken down SO many barriers to allow myself to be the fully embodied me and it feels so good to be here. N so I celebrate!

Summer film!!!

Feeling the biggest love surge going through these photos. This summer was full of so much change — so much living, sitting, purging, rebirth — which came with the most beautiful reminder of all of the constants in my life that never fail to ground me and remind me of me in the midst of it all — my beautiful friends, nature, spirit, art, my cali cat who clearly didn’t make the film cut… her beauty would’ve distracted from the rest of the post. Feeling so deeply blessed and grateful to live so fully and feel it all!!! ofc a highlight reel but not to be mistaken for a dismissal of the duality that exists in order for these moments to be experienced and captured with so much life behind them.
