Lagos Arts & Health Festival 2026

Theme: LAGOS AS A BODY

Day 1- Opening Ceremony (by Invitation Only), August 27, 2026
Hosted by Quintessence Art Gallery, Ikoyi Lagos as part of the Lagos City-wide Arts & Health Festival

Lagos comes alive this August as we open the second edition of the Lagos Arts & Health Festival, a city‑wide celebration of creativity, healing, and collective wellbeing. This year’s theme Lagos as a Body invites us to see the city not just as a place, but as a living organism shaped by movement, memory, labour, culture, and care.

We begin with ORI II, a powerful exhibition inspired by the Yoruba wisdom “Ori l’onisègùn ara” the head is the healer of the body. ORI turns our attention to the head not only as anatomy, but as the meeting point of thought, memory, awareness, and the quiet forms of health we often overlook. The works explore what the body knows, what it carries, and what we return to when something feels off.

The Opening Ceremony sets the tone for four days of exhibitions, performances, dialogues, and community experiences across Lagos. Together, we honour a city that breathes, feels, heals, and imagines.

Lagos Arts and Health Festival is endorsed and supported by the Lagos State Government, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, inspired by the Global South Arts and Health Initiative , Co-Produced by the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship, Studio Yadi, Foladavid Care Foundation and Uwana Energy in collaboration with organisations, professionals and practitioners

Stay tuned as we announce more schedules shortly.
