top five benefits of mobility work and stretching daily:
* improves the range of motion in your joints
* reduces your risk of injury by decreasing strain on muscles, ligaments and tendons that can overcompensate when you aren’t moving with proper mechanics.
* enhances your strength and athletic performance.
* relieves stiffness and improves posture.
* speeds up your recovery, reduces soreness and increases blood flow to muscles and connective tissues.

added bonus: mobility work improves the mind-muscle/mind-body connection. moving slowly and with control enhances coordination, balance, and body awareness (which also improves confidence) to make all forms of exercise feel more natural. when you can function in a full range of motion, you can recruit muscles more effectively which improves power, balance, lifting technique, running efficiency and overall athletic performance. don’t skip it! it is just as important as lifting!
