6 months ago I got news from the doctor that I needed to change how I was living asap…
After seeing my dad pass away from his addiction (smoking) and not changing, I realized I couldn’t do the same thing to my kids with my addiction (food). I’ve put in a lot of hard work over the last 3 years realizing I have very disordered eating and taking the steps to work through it. I got my hormones in check last year, and got prescribed a cpap machine (a love/hate relationship). So now not only can I finally sleep, I also don’t feel like a crazy person all the time. If you’re in perimenopause, you know. Now that I have the motivation AND the energy it was time to get to work.
Since January I’ve put in 105 workouts. Thats 4-5 a week! Sometimes at the gym at 4:30am, sometimes it’s in my garage at 8pm. It has become the only part of my day where I have an hour to myself. To work on me, for me. I keep telling my girls I’m not trying to get skinny. Trust me, I’ve wanted long legs and a flat stomach my whole life, but that’s not the body God gave ME. I want to take care of my 43 year old self FOR my 63 year old self. Something I wish I would have started at 23. I want to be strong, not small.
SO…after 105 workouts, many worship songs played, some tears shed, and lots of sweat later… I have dropped my bad cholesterol from 133 to 103 and my A1C went from 5.7 (5.8 is pre diabedic) to 4.9.
I also lost some weight and a size, but who’s counting.
I guess I say all this to say, it’s not too late to show up for yourself, and your kids. Can’t wait to see what the next 6 months has in store. 🙏🏻💪🏼 by @natbizzle

When you’re a little too blonde, the grays are coming in strong, and your hair just needs a break…

I switched Theresa over from a full highlight to a root color and a major lowlight. I sprinkled a couple highlights through the top, but the darker color will let her go longer between appointments, blend her grays, and it’ll allow her hair some time to grow in where it’s a little ‘tired’.

Our little Delley Bean is 12!!! Happy Birthday (May 5th) to this girl who is FILLED with personality and the best laugh. This year Adelle had the best time with her softball girls, started playing volleyball, made A/B honor roll, took a trip to Florida, went to see Lainey Wilson with mom, got a ‘mum’ for homecoming, made some besties that she babysat, went to another dance, and ran a 5k Turkey Trot!!! She also tried out to be on the worship team, and made it!!! I’m blown away at how much of a mini lady she’s turning into, and can’t wait to see how God works in her life. We love you so much MarshDello.

Happy Birthday (March 7th) to our “Baby Sis”! This year was a big one! She played baseball with Millie and the boys, played catcher, went to the beach in Florida, hung out at the lake with our Georgia besties, started 1st grade, lost 2 teeth, started lessons for swim team, saw Brandon Lake again, and played volleyball with Millie in the spring! Evie always knows what the rules are and makes sure we are all following them, while she runs around like an animal. She’s everyone’s biggest cheerleader, and the queen of hugs.

I had the funnest little babe in my chair today! She has the most amazing curls and just needed an update. I brought her blonde up, popped the ends a bit brighter and gave her some movement with shorter layers.

Happy 8th Birthday (I’m late, it was Dec 3rd) to my sweet Millie. It has been so fun watching her do ALL the things this year. Baseball, hockey, volleyball…and basically be afraid of nothing! She’s so dang brave and will try anything once. Did you see how high up she was on that obstacle course?! Like 5 stories!!! 🤯 😱
I’m so proud of the kid she is to her friends and how much she loves her sisters. She’s grown up a lot this year but she still wants me to snuggle her, so I’ll take it!
Here’s some favorite memories over the last year. Thank goodness we get 20 slides now bc it would have been tough to choose!

This year Jake and I decided to go from the ‘couch rot’ Thanksgiving Day family, to the ‘Turkey Trot’ family. He ended up getting hurt and the littles had a fever, so they stayed home, and Adelle became my partner in crime.
