thank you thank you @theriversessions for last night. I'm not typically a lover of summer but that sky and that river and the moon and birds and grass definitely did something to me. this is only the 2nd time I've actually shared this solo show and to all of you who have heard and held these stories and shared yours back - thank you. SHOUT OUTS: to @laurenschurr for singing with me so effortlessly as if we'd done it a million times like everything feels with you / to @allieclos for heckling me like I asked you to (and singing perfectly obviously) / to the beautiful people who I met at the 1st of my solo shows and drove down for the 2nd!! @katherinew.165 and @willie.fleetwood / to the person who, when I intro'd my song about BEING 37, I found out was celebrating her 37th BIRTHDAY?! that's some kind of magic / to the anonymous person who flew from the east coast to be there in a tender life moment / to the anonymous person who told me they're going through a divorce / to the kids who are forming a band / to my very first coworker at my very first job @becca__frances at Coffee Getaway in Damascus, OR back in 2004 / to Maureen who brought the marigolds/ to my friends and fam who showed up @andyz.oh.ok @nicolebanta @kala_bri and my beautiful aunt @notme57 and @danahalferty @deaf.dog and co. / and finally to @keasterbrooks for lending her voice that I love along with @blairartthou whose ribbony singing was a gift and @abbystanfordx for her kind eye that makes the whole thing feel as mystical and un-pin-down-able that it was. / and to everyone who notices and cares and shows up. I am excited to play @theriversessions on July 31 in Portland (Vancouver, WA) w @blairartthou opening up 💛 it'll be the first time I'm playing a real solo show in my hometown since the Yamhill Pub in 2010 when I was drinking blue moons and singing about all the ways I was gonna get things right. 🥴 thanks to my amazing sisters for supporting me and all the songs I have that never made it onto a Jo record. xoxo by @natclo

these are simple days. living for food and music and friends and @laurenschurr 's green shirt 💞 I've been trying to get better at cooking and calming my mind, regrouping after the season of Meegs and I promoting our last album. people keep asking me how it was received and I keep saying that whoever found it made a point to let us know it mattered to them. incredible. thank you... a lot of new songs seem to be appearing out of thin air somehow, and they are really a balm for me. I am excited to give them to you someday. maybe we're going through the same things. what else? my solo album is getting mixed this week and when it comes out it will be a long awaited personal moment of joy. I'm on a plane right now to play songs at @robinhood.revival (sold out show🥲) so all of that to say, I have a lot of gratitude alongside the usual amount of fear that I'm trying to combat by taking magnesium at night (loving it) and breathing into wherever it feels bad. how do you tend to that stuff? thank you to all the musicians I got to see play the last couple months. it means the world. and thanks to my friends for being really really good. ❤️ by @natclo

this post is a thank you. first to my amazing amazing sister. she is an incredible teammate. for about a hundred reasons I hit a point on this tour where I was genuinely not ok. it was a very low point and I felt safe enough to tell her that. she immediately said "if we have to cancel the shows that's ok," and she kicked into gear to find ways for me to rest, even though she was spread thin herself. then @apriljeannelee came in and looked for ways to carry extra weight, making things feel lighter both in the emotional and in the work load. @laurenschurr was there for me from afar with so much listening and holding, I got encouraging texts from friends and fam, and then little mercies from the beyond - a table of people bought my dinner one night out of nowhere, and we got an email from someone that spoke directly to my weariness. @lauren_does_sound and the lovely sunny @themanthemyththemeatslab took on extra too. I don't know how anyone gets through anything without each other. by @natclo

songs are forever in every direction. @thebandjoseph goes out again next week for the east coast and tomorrow I’m playing a couple tunes solo at the end of the night for @thesocalsound at @thehotelcafe. 💛 I won’t be doing this one at either of those things but it’s one of my favorites to play when I’m alone. something I brought to @lukeniccoli and he helped me really find it, then @williamwild suggested playing it in dadfad which was a bit of magic to my ears. @cereusbright you’re a part of it too. amazing what it takes to excavate a song and all the lives it lives away from you afterward… for now this one’s really just been for me and something about playing it really calms me. hoping you feel calm today. sending you love from here. by @natclo
