i don’t even know where to start. he was the best person, grandpa, dad, husband, protector, caregiver, and handyman. this man was the strongest man i’ve ever met in my life and when i say strongest i mean strongest. he was invincible in my eyes, nothing could ever bring him down. he had half a toe, and a whole bullet stuck inside him and still until the day he was sent to the hospital he was working. every. single. day. without fail. my mom would always try to tell him to “stop climbing trees trying to cut them down” “go inside it’s mid july it’s too hot to be mowing for hours on end” but he would never listen. he always wanted to work and i always wanted model that and have that exact same work ethic. now, i promise i will. i promise ill do everything i set my mind to because thats always what you did and would want me to do. i’m going to miss mowing yards with you grandpa, im going to miss our silly conversations me, you, dayday, jordan, and cora would have at you and grandmas house, and im going to miss you handing me way too much money on every birthday and asking me “that enough for ya?”. i’m going to miss it all and so are they. we love you grandpa and we know you love us. life is going to be very different now that you’re not with us physically, but we know you’ll always be here with us in spirit. so grandpa, since you never wanted to get your well deserved rest here on earth, please get your rest in heaven. we love and miss you forever. #FLYHIGHSUPERMAN by @natecoll1ns
