Thank you, Lord.

Thank you for bringing this amazing woman in my life. No words can express how much you mean to me. You were not only my nana but you were my mother.

I’m still in disbelief that you have left us…but now you are with Jesus in his kingdom. I know it.

This video was nana. I made this in 2020 during covid. Never in the many years of her fights with multiple types of cancers did she ever complain. She always had a positive spirit. She always continued to not listen (lol) and do what she wanted to do and when she wanted to do it.

The most selfless person I’ve ever met. She gave with no expectations. She cooked with love. She shared with everyone. Whether it was cooking for the whole family or putting a roof over someone’s head. She did it out of the giving spirit of her heart. She had a heart like Jesus. I always knew and believed that. Unconditional love.

Nana, your crazy fighting Mexican spirit lives in me. I’ll miss you for now but I’ll see you again.

I love you from the deepest part of my heart. by @natefow

Nana… 🤍

I don’t even know how to put into words what it feels like to say goodbye to you.

Heaven gained the purest, silliest, kindest, most loving soul. I truly don’t think I will ever meet another person like you. You had the biggest heart and were always giving to everyone around you, never judging anyone, and always finding a reason to smile. Even after being sick for so long, you still managed to be one of the happiest people I knew. You were just you, and there was something so special about that.

I know you had been struggling for a long time, and as much as my heart hurts, I find peace knowing you are finally free from your pain. I picture you walking through heaven, healthy again, laughing, and right alongside God. 🤍

Thank you for being my Nana. I feel so incredibly lucky that I got to experience a grandmother like you, as if I were one of your own. Thank you for loving me, for always welcoming me, for the countless meals, the random phone calls, the silly voicemails, and all of the little moments that I didn’t realize would one day mean everything to me.

And thank you for raising the man I get to call my husband. I will forever be grateful to you for the role you played in making him the man he is today. I know how much he loves you, and I know a huge part of the man I married comes from the love, strength, and lessons you gave him.

One of the hardest things for me to accept is knowing you were holding on for our wedding. I’ll never forget you saying over and over in the hospital, “I need to wait. I want to see you guys get married.” You wanted so badly to see it, and it breaks my heart that you were too sick to be there. But Nana, I hope you know that you were there. You were in my heart, in Nate’s heart, and in every moment of that day. I know you were watching over us.

I’m going to miss your phone calls asking us to come eat. I’m going to miss your silly voicemails about the most random things. I’m going to miss hearing your voice, your laugh, and knowing I could always call you my Nana.

I wish I could have one more phone call. One more meal. One more hug. One more silly voicemail.

Thank you for loving us so deeply. Thank you for being you by @natefow
