It's a new month, so new song tab up on the Natreon

I chose imbawula because it's fun, technical, and short, so you can really focus on building your technique and getting used to switching between techniques which is super important for technical bass playing.

The tone I'm using here is from a sick ghost/session project I just got finished writing all my parts for.

On the Natreon, there's also a breakdown of the major/minor scale across the entire fretboard, and a couple lessons on building arpeggios in the scale

Next week we'll be breaking down the harmonic minor scale across the fretboard, so if you're new to scales or have an idea about them but want to start connecting all the dots, go check it out for the price of a coffee!

New lessons every week, new song tabs every month

You know where the link is, much love 🙌🏻💙

This is who you've been sending all those mean bass player memes to

It's also a young boi that never thought he'd travel the world playing bass in the majority of the continents.

Big thanks to all the amazing people that supported me on any part of this journey 💙 by @nategilbert

Check out this sick split chain, Laney digbeth plug in from the pals at @auroradsp ! It's currently 50% off!

It does exactly what my main goal is with my live and recording tones, keep the low end processing controlled with compression and clarity, with its own signal chain using the same cab options you'll find in the parallel chain. It even comes with the post-amp processing effects from mammoth if you want to add some extra aggression.

For the low-mid to high frequencies, after the distortion, compression, and interval pedals, is the tube emulating amp for that vintage crunchy sound that maintains so much note clarity at the same time. This chain then goes into a selection of 3 cabs with a dark/brightness slider, 3 distinct mic options, then through post-processing. It then blends with the parallel low end chain into an EQ/Limiter.

It's everything you need from start to finish to build a sick bass tone with the unique sound of a vintage sounding FET/tube emulating amp.

Definitely check this one out, it's on sale now, thanks again to Aurora DSP for allowing me to give this one a try! by @nategilbert

It's been two days since we released Twin Tyrants, I just wanted to say thanks for checking out our new song and for all the kind messages 🙏🏻💙

Couldn't be more stoked to have @mayapobst in the band, and with how well our first tour and release together went.

It's been surreal to release music with the band that was on the top of my Spotify wrapped for years, let alone play shows around the world to so many people in so many places.

Can't wait to show y'all what else we've been working on! by @nategilbert
