Started a little Starfinder side campaign this last week as a backup for the usual game on @wip.stream so obviously we had to hit the same beats of young, naive, colorful, and unintentionally dangerous.

This is Aki, the Prismeni Solarian. 😌🌌♥️

Casually chipping away at this light study for my Pathfinder psychic from @wip.stream for like 5 months and I'm just calling it done.🙃 I hate the background but whatever. Happy with the rest of it so that's good enough for me 😌💕 by @natehz

Entered into the second arc of our Mythic PF2e Homebrew campaign over on @wip.stream
and I've committed to having Cipher do a full outfit swap each time for no reason other than because it gives me something to draw lol

We've discarded the rags and earthy tones for bright prismatic color and contrast.

Also I have a familiar now and even though I've had him for 5 whole minutes in-game I love him and would die for him. 😌❤️

Another portrait for the @wip.stream Pathfinder game. This time it's an NPC! My character's creator, previously dubbed simply "Him" due to gaps in memory and information, Aurick Faeora-Ul’drishyn, the mad mage of the reach, in all his scowly glory.

I went with a bit more of a surrealist approach for this one with the sharp red rim lighting and color pallet because this (and a few others to follow) are in-setting mental portraits they keep of people they've met. A sort of mind palace art gallery. by @natehz

This was a fun year for me artistically. I decided to really lean into doing more realistic less line-work focused pieces of various TTRPG characters with the intent of eventually getting proficient enough to not take 3 months on one portrait (the gray guy is an outlier that I managed to bang out in a week in a fugue state). Barring that, some doodles of a couple characters I'm playing as well as a more action-oriented shot of a scene I liked with a big imaginary hammer. And then, my strangely proudest piece of the year, the lower half of a world map for the gang over at @wip.stream
The northern hemisphere is still in progress because these maps take me so long I don't know why lmao.
There's about 2 dozen other maps and things like that I've made that could never be uploaded to Instagram because of the format and compression absolutely ruining them, but that was a lot of my artistic time this year too.

Eight years. 😌❤️

We've talked a bunch about how it feels like it's been both a lot less and a lot more time than that. It's nuts how much has happened in that time, but it never feels dull or repetitive. And I don't mean the stereotype of "omg we've been through our ups and downs." I mean like societal stuff. Eras. Newsworthy events.

It really is insane how much having the right person with you can make some of the most unbearable shit weatherable, and how much better they make the best times.

No ups and downs.
Only ups. 😎

(Also it's completely cemented at this point that we can take exactly one type of photo when we go places and I've just accepted it lol) by @natehz

Been a while since I've posted any of the stuff I work on. This is Cipher, the psychic I'm going to be playing for @wip.stream this Sunday (2/2) on twitch. I have dozens of other half finished concept pieces and sketches, but this will do for now.

This was the first real picture I drew of them and I finished it back in August of last year so it seems fitting to finally post it now that it's not """secret""" anymore 😂

Genuinely, without @juliette.a.d I would just be completely screwed. Not everyone is fortune enough to have health care, and not everyone is fortune enough to be financially stable enough to even HAVE a medical emergency.

It's becoming more and more well known across this country that most families and individuals are one emergency away from financial ruin and homelessness.

I'm painfully aware of the fact that at the stage I'm at, even getting some semblance of help after days of pulling teeth and grilling people, I'm one of the lucky ones.

This should not be the case. This is not sustainable. by @natehz

Haven't really posted anything on Instagram in a hot minute so here's a little assortment of stuff I've worked on over the past I don't know how many months from D&D projects. Just some favorites. Been working on portraits a lot and seeing noticeable improvement so that's cool. by @natehz
