DJ I.V. [SCAN RECORDS]

DJ I.V. has honed his skills as a music producer and audio engineer for years in multiple genres and has embraced his legacy of being rooted from Detroit and is committed to playing Techno in a Proper manner. His sets are captivating and high energy by mixing in hard hitting tracks with an emphasis on delivery. DJ I.V. classifies himself as DJ Technician by way of putting an emphasis on finesse and firmly crafted techniques by way of blending multiple tracks together gracefully and keeping dance floors captivated. He is the sort of DJ whose energy is contagious from the moment he hits the decks to the end of his set. By building a reputation of electrifying crowds and keeping them steadfast in the groove of techno or house he has become a notable force in the Detroit electronic music ecosystem. A music producer for over 12 years, he has released multiple EPs and singlesg digitally—but his recent vinyl release Primus Scan 7s label, SCAN RECORDS marks his first appearance on wax and a key milestone in his evolution as both a producer and performer.

Rather it be tracks from pioneers that helped build the arena that he stands within or music he catches within his personal life, there is no mistake that DJ I.V. is inspired by his heritage and the musical evolution in and outside of Detroit. He aspires to imprint a legacy of innovation and creativity for future generations to embrace and build upon,bridging the gap between past and present in the ever-evolving landscape of electronic music.

Techno Planetarium Stage
The Techno Planetarium Stage is a specialized immersive electronic music experience that combines techno music with 360-degree overhead visual projections inside a planetarium dome. Artist line up carefully curated by PARADISCO colective with an avangarde selection of International and local “LIVE TECHNO ACTS” and DJs.

This month I had the honor of making my debut at the legendary @tresorberlin
To be trusted with 4.5 hours in such an establishment is nothing short of a delight. In addition to
opening up for such strong artists such as @scanseven @dj_stingray_313 @m_a_e_d_o_n
Huge thank you to all who made it out and enjoyed that night with me, the energy was something truly special and it is something I’ll carry throughout my career as an artist.

25 YEARS OF SCAN 7.
25 YEARS OF DETROIT TECHNO.

Some legacies are built one record, one performance, and one dance floor at a time. Congratulations to Trackmasta Lou Robinson and SCAN 7 on 25 years of pushing the boundaries of electronic music and carrying Detroit Techno’s unmistakable spirit to the world.

Born out of Detroit’s late-1980s Techno movement, SCAN 7 emerged as a mysterious collective of masked musicians and vocalists led by founding member Trackmasta Lou. From their groundbreaking live debut at the inaugural Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000 to releases on legendary labels like Underground Resistance, Tresor, F-Comm, and KMS, SCAN 7 has never been content to stand still. Their sound moves fearlessly from raw, uncompromising Techno to Electro and uplifting House, always rooted in the resistance and innovation that define Detroit.

Now, 25 years in, the mission continues.

Fall thru in support Thursday, October 15th, 7 PM - Midnight at Periodicals on Grand River for the SCAN 7 record release party. Expect original Techno vibes, reimagined with high energy by DJ I.V., BlackMoon Child, Mark Broom, Plural, and KXBE222.

This is more than a record release. It’s a celebration of a legacy still in motion, a sound that refuses to stand still, and the Detroit spirit that keeps moving the culture forward.

Techno was born in Detroit. Saying this, for the first time in Puerto Rico we present three pillar artist that have shaped and keep shaping Detroit Techno sound..

SCAN 7 [Live]
[TRESOR BERLIN,UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE,SCAN RECORDS]

-Founded in the late 1980s in Detroit and deeply tied to Underground Resistance family Scan 7 is one of the most leyendary Live Techno Acts to this date. In 1996 they release the álbum Dark Territory in the leyendary Tresor Berlin label wich helped creating the blueprints for today’s Techno sound.

THE AM/AMX [TRESOR BERLIN,REALMS OF TECHNO]

-Ann-Marie Teasley, known as The AM, and most recently AMX comes from the Detroit - Berlin school of techno and is known for her signature techno / electro sound. With multiple releases on Tresor Berlin and boss of her label Realms Of Techno, she is one of Detroits most promising female artist in the last decade.

With 13 years of production experience spanning multiple genres, I.V. has developed a sound firmly centered around Techno and House, delivered with precision and purpose. Behind the decks, he considers himself a “DJ Technician,” placing just as much emphasis on finesse and craftsmanship as track selection. His sets are built through fluid blends, layered mixes, and hard-hitting selections that maintain momentum while keeping the dancefloor locked into the groove.

Aside from its size, it’s majestic in a way and makes the city have its own feel.
