The Madcap family. 💙🛹

A few years ago, Madcap was just a solo dream.

An ambitious vision for what Northern California's music scene could become if artists had real support, real opportunities, and a team willing to believe something bigger was possible.

The people in this photo are the reason that dream is becoming a reality. They showed up, believed in the MAD vision before any proof and helped to build something incredible from nothing.

Every milestone we've reached has been because of the hearts, talent, passion, and dedication of this incredible group of creatives. Especially The First annual Nevada City Song Contest we hosted at The Miners Foundry!

I couldn't be more grateful—or more excited for what's ahead.
We're just getting started and the future is becoming than we could have even imaged. 🚀

Madcap Records & Madcap Publishing are thrilled to announce that studio recording is officially underway for @natevallejo’s debut release on Madcap Records.

While Nate is no stranger to singing, songwriting, or the studio, he’s been pushing himself to a whole new level—writing every day as part of his Song-A-Day Challenge (follow along on his page 👀).

His first single, “Lay Me Down,” is on the way… and we truly can’t wait to share what we’ve been creating.

This is just the beginning. ✨

Here are some BTS photos of the first day of recording with producer @kelly_rutledge at @ancientwavestudios

Some songs hit different in a live room.
Here’s Nate Vallejo performing “Farewell” at Ancient Wave Studios.

The song is raw and thematic like a hum through the fog by a sailor who’s drifted far from home.
