ITC 2025 CHAMPIONS!

After taking a couple of days to collect myself after our performance, I think i’ve finally been able to put my thoughts into words.

Coming into the program last year and finishing 3rd at ITC’s, I knew there was plenty in store for not only my career at Whitewater, but for our team. Losing last year gave me the drive and determination to reach for new heights, and that dream just came true. I’m still speechless, and I expect to be for a while, nothing has set in yet.

It goes without saying that this was a complete TEAM effort, no one person shares the entire weight of this feat. If you were to look at our team around the mid-season you might’ve wished us the best to get out of just sectionals. After a nice winter break, something seemed to just click mentally between the team, leading us to win conference, then club nationals, and finally ITC’s to take home two national championships this year.

If there was one thing I learned throughout the year it would be that struggle and adversity is necessary for change. Proper goal setting (thanks Wochner) and a change of work-mindset, is what allowed me to elevate to a new level. Adversity in the preseason
drove our team to be better, and we became better.

Blessed to have this team. Extremely thankful for my seniors who were able to achieve this amazing goal to end their careers. It was truly a blessing in ways you guys wouldn’t imagine and I’ll never forget our struggles to get here, our banter, but more importantly our one focus to simply win.

Thank you to our parents and support system, who continued to show their love for us throughout the season. We couldn’t have done it without you and i’m happy we could bring home this win for you.

We came here to win, and we did. Thanks to those who unknowingly fuel me, those who keep trying to discredit and doubt. It’s much appreciated.
