Round 2 of Appin first race in 3 years up and down sorta day will take the positives and move to the next one. Moto 1 lost the front end and dropped back to 18th and made my way back to 14th. Second moto had a good start made my way to front but got crossed jumped and went over the bars. Last moto was a struggle due to poor start and injury to my wrist from the crash. Overall good day happy to be back by @nath__243

Ahhh man where do I start, It’s been a long road but back on the bike after 1yr and 5 months off the bike.That crashed really challenged me mentally and physically and some days where I thought it was over. I could never see the light at the end of the tunnel.But I pushed through all the tough times and got all recovered and got all clear from my doctor to ride a bike again. When I got to the track I kept getting the same image in my head of me hitting that jump and breaking my leg but I wasn’t gonna let that happen, got out on the track and felt amazing on the bike and felt good on the track.Just need work on my fitness and my bike setup but it just feels so good to come back and ride again when I never thought I would. And prove to everyone that I can get back to where I was and become better than I was. I would like to thank everyone who stuck by me and helped me get through this as I couldn’t have done it without you. This was a hard one talk about but thought I’d share on what has been happening the past year.

On December the 17th of December at 1:25pm is where everything would change for me in 2024.I was having a pretty normal day out on the track and was riding the best I have ever ridden and all day my hand kept slipping off the bars. But I never took notice of it and i was coming around for my final lap and I took my final lap and I took my goggles off and decided to finish off the day. As I’ve come around the corner my hand slipped off the bars and as I tried to re grip I grabbed full throttle and I snapped my leg in half. I got to Liverpool hospital that day and had my operation and thought it would just be a simple broken leg and I’ll be back on the bike in 6 Weeks. I got out the hospital couple of days before Christmas as I went back to Liverpool hospital the week after they changed all my dressings they started to notice my leg wasn’t healing properly and I got admitted back into hospital that day.From that day I spent a total of 3 months in hospital with multiple infections and also getting a skin graft on my leg and leaving me with a permanent lump on my leg. I got out of hospital in February after a couple of months out I had to get an x fixator on my leg and I had that on for my leg for 3 months re growing bone in my leg.Long story short after months of physio and days where I thought it would be easier to end it all and everything was too much I have become so much mentally stronger and a better person.I’d like to day thankyou for everyone who came to see me in hospital in my worst times and for sticking by me and helping me through this tough situation I will be coming back stronger than ever in 2025 and hopefully prove everyone wrong that told me stop.
