A 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐥 Collection

All of these photos were taken o a lakeshore that played a big role in my early childhood. I still love to go there and just watch them together with the swans, ducks and ravens that are always there.

Some of these photos were taken last year, with a borrowed Canon 550 D and a 300mm lens. This was actually the start of my obsession with wildlife photography.
Since then, i got my own Canon R7 and a bit more focal length ;)
I went there again last week and took a few new shots i included here.

I wonder if you can tell the difference;)

Raven on a lakeshore

Black feathers, incredibly intelligent, highly skilled aerialists, mischievous but also affectionate and playful... there is so much to learn about them and we still don't know everything!
One of the coolest birds on this planet😌

This one was looking for food at the lake of Thun. He was so close to the water, he got sprinkled with tiny waterdrops from the waves.

11 - The RAW

I was very happy when I was invited to join this small group of photographers doing collabs regularly. Taking a picture is one thing, editing the other. And i am always stunned in how many different ways you can edit a picture.

For this one i was really surprised that so many of the collaborators chose a vertical ratio, as i have always seen it as a clear horizontal shot. And that is what i love about this project: Every collab we do expands the horizon of how you can see a photo.

How would you have done it? Please let us know in the comments! ✍️

A big thank you to everyone participating this time and sharing your creativity! 🫶🏻 by @nathalias_perspective

That was one hell of a sunset!

Taken above the lake of Thun, on a small view platform. I was on my way back from the valley, where i hoped to photograph the deer rut. The deer rut plan was quite unsuccesful... but then nature did it's magic and made my day with this sunset.

Totally worth the trip!

Eurasian Nuthatch

They are known for their ability to climb headfirst down tree trunks. Their name comes from "nut hacker," reflecting how they wedge nuts into bark and hammer them open.

This one was very high up in a large tree. They are quite fast and basically never sit still. It's not the first one i saw in my life but the first one i could get a decent photo of 🤗
Very cute little guys:)

Water Frogs

Small and easy to overlook. But if you pay attention (and don't move), you will see their amazing colors and really cool eyes! I think they're kinda cute :D
They are strong swimmers and jumpers, often sitting partly submerged at the water surface to watch for flying or floating insects.

Grass snake 🐍

Grass snakes are non-venomous, semi-aquatic reptiles and whoever gave them their name obviously had no idea😂 They live in wetlands and ponds.
This one lives in an area where the forest is right next to a river and parts of it are flooded, so natural ponds formed and gave this cute snake a home.
It was awesome to observe her glide through the water for a few minutes, before she disappeared in the reed.

Would love to know which one you like best!

Grey Herons are badass

Some would say they are boring and everywhere...
Yeah, they are everywhere, but for sure not boring!

Some cool facts about them to prove it:

• Look at his gaze...psycho. love it! And it's eyesight is btw. about 3 times more detailed than ours.

• Wingspan: around 6ft / 180cm . Thats biger than i am!

• They are excellent, patient hunters: i want to see you try to stay completely motionless for minutes and then stab right through a fish the size of your head...

• They gather large sticks and carry them to their partners for nesting. Relentlessly... super cool to watch!

•Although it's an exception in the wild, they can live up to 30 years.

Oh and the best fact: they are not at all endangered. They are thriving! isn't that awesome?!
