BLINK HAS BLUNK

Over the past month, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work on a project for Cincinnati’s biannual BLINK festival through a capstone class under the @miamioh_etbd department.

This has been nothing short of amazing, and incredibly impactful on me as a creative and a designer. I’m so proud of the work we were able to make for this event; it’s rare you get to look back on something and stand in awe of yourself, but that’s exactly what this has given me, and I do not take it for granted.

Special thanks to @midsummermuse23 and Mary Medina for heading the project. You were consistent, guiding voices that made this whole thing possible. I also need to mention @leo_is_freaking_tired for editing the ENTIRE thing. I was there with him on a good number of those sleepless nights, and the amount of work he put in was inspiring.

Finally, thank you to the digital rendering team for working so hard on getting this done. You were incredible to work with, and I deeply value the work we’ve done together. (Elijah Phipps, @westcannon77, @sydney.mulford, @_kallinv_, @tohojingshi, @nick_schoster25, @soap0126, Aiden Garcia, @marissaellis17)

Thank you to everyone else who worked on the project. My only regret is that I did not do BLINK my first year here, and will likely not get to do it again as a Miami student. I hope to get the chance to participate in future BLINKs regardless ❤️

As a new semester starts and I begin my 3rd year in higher education, I think it’s about time I mention the amazing opportunity I had this Summer as apart of a study abroad through the @miamioh_etbd department at @miamiuniversity

Me and 11 of my peers got the chance to travel to London and design alternative, gamified technologies to help aid in the rehabilitation of patients with Neurological conditions affecting motor function. @birkdaleneurophysio fostered this project, and gave us the resources and information needed to create what would best help patients.

I had an incredible time abroad, getting to experience other cultures and work with my teammates, @jane_spelman, @ceciliaxchavez, and @jmugnano24, who I have the privilege of calling friends. A special thank you as well to @michaelbvk for advising the trip and encouraging us every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who made the trip as awesome as it was. I learned so much in skill and in teamwork, and intend to apply these lessons in this second half of my academic career, as well as the rest of my life.

Had a wonderful time at the @butlercountydemsoh Spring Gala last weekend. It was wonderful meeting candidates running important races in such a contested state. I left hopeful and inspired for what’s to come next in Ohio. taken in Butler County by @nathan.nikc
