AIKO AND THE VEILED ORDER They say the Veiled Order once guarded the balance between what the world had been… and what it was becoming. They were not rulers. They lived unseen, preserving what others had forgotten. Then Utsuro came, promising a world without fear. By the time the world understood the price of his peace, the Order had already fallen. Or so the legend says… This began as a visual experiment and slowly became something much more personal: a world built from nostalgia, memory, grief, hope, and the need to create again. An animated proof-of-concept film. For the first time, I was able to bring together almost every part of my creative life: painting, photography, writing, directing, editing, voice, music, sound, and worldbuilding. Aiko has lived in my imagination for some time. Seeing her world finally move and breathe has been overwhelming in ways I’m still trying to understand. This is only the beginning. Concept, writing, direction, editing, narration and sound design by Nathan Sigman. AI-assisted visual development and animation. Music used: “Starlink” — Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio “80s SynthWave Music Mix — No Copyright / Royalty Free & Safe” — Music provided by DreamWave Kingdom “Stellar Encounter — Cosmic Synthwave / Futuristic Cinematic Action” — Vasil Yatsevich All tracks edited for duration and synchronised to picture. #aikoandtheveiledorder #animation #retrofuturism #scifi #independentfilm by @nathan_sigman
Animation is one of the most sought after genera’s of Voice acting out there, and with it comes a lot of challenges! Here’s my take on Old man Jafar from the amazing 1992 Disney classic Aladdin. Jafar was originally performed by the amazing Jonathan Freeman. Let me know how I did in the comments! #voice #animation #aladdin #disney #voices #impressions #acting #voiceacting #sync #performance #voiceover #1992 by @nathan_sigman
As a VO artist transformation is key. It’s not always about getting the gigs, practice makes improvement. You got to keep pushing yourself to do more. **AIKO: THE LAST ECHO** A world without suffering. A world without choice. What remains of us when one is mistaken for the other? A story about the weight of memory, the beauty of imperfection, and the courage to embrace everything that makes us human. After months of creating, discovering, and losing myself in this strange little universe, I’m finally ready to share it with you. This film taught me a lot about myself, and that the only way to deal with difficult times and heavy emotions is to go through them, not circumvent them. By approaching your shadows head-on and understanding that they’re trying to teach you something about yourself, you begin to realize that what you need to learn can be something positive, even though it may show up in your life as something painful. **The only way is through.** And after roughly 130 storyboard frames and animated bits of video, over 600 prompts, and countless hours of work, I’ve curated the music, edited the video, performed the voiceover, and created the sound design myself. And in the spirit of Halloween, this one’s quite creepy and a little bit dark. 🎃 **A film by Nathan Sigman** #voiceover #ai #film #animation #photo 🎵 Music Credit Karl Casey @whitebataudio Featured in 80’s Retrowave Background Music Mix | Journey | Royalty Free No Copyright Mix courtesy of @brandxmusic126 by @nathan_sigman
THE LONG RETURN An original short film. I started making this as an experiment in visual storytelling. Somewhere along the way, it became something much more personal. THE LONG RETURN became a way for me to explore fear, grief, identity, attachment, empathy toward the self, and what happens when the life you understood no longer has the shape you expected it to have. It is about the courage required to face what hurts rather than continually finding ways around it. About understanding that surviving something does not necessarily mean returning to the person you were before it happened. And about letting go without believing that love, memory or meaning disappear with what has been lost. This film was built shot by shot through months of writing, visual development, animation, performance, editing, sound design and constant reconstruction. AI assisted tools became part of the animation process, but every shot, performance choice, transition, edit, sound, piece of music and narrative decision was developed in service of the film. One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about stepping in front of the camera again is the collaboration. A good script, a talented scene partner, and a creative team willing to let you play a little can make for a really fun day on set. Had a blast shooting this sketch for HackerRank. Turns out waking up from a two-year coma and discovering what AI has done to the world is harder than it looks. 😂 #HackerRank #ActorLife #OnCamera #AI #TechHumor by @nathan_sigman
Spent years trying not to get replaced by AI. Turns out I just became one. If AI models were people, I’d probably…replace myself………? Thanks @hackerrank Twas epic working with the whole team. #actor #voiceactor #actorslife🎬 #funny #comedy by @nathan_sigman
I have no words to express the deep sadness it is to have lost our dearest Leo. He left us so suddenly and with zero warning. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to be there when you left. You were a blessing to have as a companion and friend and I will always cherish our daily trips to the terrace. In the words of Jerry Garcia & Robert Hunter If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung Would you hear my voice come through the music? Would you hold it near as it were your own? It’s a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken Perhaps they’re better left unsung I don’t know, don’t really care Let there be songs to fill the air Ripple in still water When there is no pebble tossed Nor wind to blow Reach out your hand, if your cup be empty If your cup is full, may it be again Let it be known, there is a fountain That was not made by the hands of men There is a road, no simple highway Between the dawn and the dark of night And if you go, no one may follow That path is for your steps alone Ripple in still water When there is no pebble tossed Nor wind to blow You who choose to lead, must follow But if you fall, you fall alone If you should stand, then who’s to guide you? If I knew the way, I would take you home by @nathan_sigman
A world divided by loss. A soul consumed by it. A teaser for something I’ve been building: drawn from a story that’s been in my family for years, reimagined through voice, image, and sound. I handled the sound design, recorded the voiceover, curated the music, created the stills, and directed the animation prompts to bring this world to life. This version leans into the darker side of that world… the grief, the obsession, the cost of holding on. In a world where every meal comes with a price... dinner is finally served. 🥩🤖 I’ve been cooking up this passion project using AI, Logic Pro, and recording some choice cuts of voiceover. Rare? Well done? You decide. Turn the sound UP for the full experience. 🔊 #movietrailer #KlingAI #voiceover #funny #sounddesigner by @nathan_sigman
