it gets worse before it gets better the first picture is taken in the beginning of the year. I was celebrating my birthday, but it was the lowest i had felt in a hot minute. 2024 wasn’t the kindest to me. i was diagnosed with diabetes, i restarted therapy, i felt down after my amazing visit to South Africa and i hated my job. hell, i wasn’t even enjoying life anymore. however, in february, something changed. my community poured life into me and my mindset changed for the better. I began investing even more in my mental health and started looking more critical into my physical health. the second picture i felt the best. it was summer; i lost weight, i was walking 10K steps a day, i finished heavy therapy, i deepened existing connections with friends, i recognized the power of black community, i switched jobs, i learned a lot about myself. and even today, i’m still learning about myself. my ADHD, my intuition, how powerful I am. 2025 felt like a beautiful transition. even with all the bad, i can say I had a great year. taking everything I learned, keep it close to my chest and will lead with love in the new year. by @nathanaelmiango
