In the media, there is this negative perception and narrative, that Positive Black love, Black families & Black Marriage doesn't exist or it doesn't work. That is a lie....blog pages would have you believe that it is only drama that exists that is also a lie. There are many of us that do the work, live our life in the background and get on with it, many of our own personal role models don't use social media but they are running very successful businesses, looking after their familes and getting on with it.
Last year, we felt convicted to reluctantly share a bit more of our behind the scenes, because we both agree that we are so proud of how far we have come and what we have achieved within our marriage, family & business. We are not perfect, but daily, we wake up and put all our trust in God to strengthen us, protect us, and order our steps to reach our goals and enjoy the life we have built together.

Looking back on this conversation, we're reminded that one of the best habits we've built in our marriage is having regular conversations about money

Our weekly Finance Fridays aren't about who's right or wrong or who's spent what. They're about creating space to understand where we are, make wise decisions together and steward well what God has entrusted to us

Good stewardship doesn't happen by accident. It happens through consistency, honesty and making time for the conversations that matter

We sense God asking us to put the call out this summer to really pray and fast for our youth and families across our city

Prayer is like water

Just as the body needs water to live, our soul and spirit need prayer to stay strong

Over the years, prayer has been a lifeline for us as a family and we truly believe it can be a lifeline for yours too.

From taking the bank into spaces like @restaurantadians, to hosting conversations at the @thelegacycoe, to being part of the powerful @thefoundersdinner and most recently we hosted the incredible Health & Wealth Summit. It has been a real blessing to help create spaces where faith and finance can meet
