Competing in the @bentonvillebikefest speed trial event was awesome! I think I was one of only two Americans to race, and the only one on a street bike!

@sethstevens14 and I drove 14 hours and arrived in Bentonville less than an hour before the speed trial was scheduled to begin. I immediately started riding to see if I could make it through the course - I’ve always wanted to try one of these events!

The pipe and skinny gaps were quite a challenge for someone used to flat walls in the streets. I was seriously doubting that I would be able to get a full run without bailing during the contest, so I’m quite happy to have such a great race with Debi! Just making it through the whole course safely is always a win.

I will say, it’s a lot more tiring than it looks on video to race even such a short course. I was having to use a lot of power to try to get over everything quickly without tons of correction hops, and at the end of the runs my arms were really feeling it!

It was amazing to watch these riders in person and try my best to race against some of them, everyone in this video is super talented!

I haven’t gone this big with a flat nose 3 tap before! This is definitely one of my new favorites - it feels SO good 😎
But it’s quite scary going that fast at a nose plant! Thanks for filming so well @m1cha3l_bmx

I’m pretty hyped with the result considering a few days before I texted @_cash_nasty “not sure if I should enter the contest, I don’t know if I can clear all the jumps” 😂

I made it seem competitive in the video, but in reality it was all fun—

This event at @foothillswatershed was super fun as I’ve never actually done these sort of best trick dirt jump competitions before! And I haven’t ridden a bunnyhop bar in 4 years 😅

I wish I had my crash on camera, I tumbled all the way down the landing on one attempt. I wasn’t really planning on making this video, but I think it’s cool to see if creativity can compete with the big air tricks! And the whole event was just a fun memory to have on camera!

Trying to learn this nose tap 360 trick on my mountain bike was scary! This was one of my favorite clips I filmed on my trials bike so I wanted to see if it was possible with a much bigger bike.
It’s a good demonstration of the process working up to a scary trick and not just going for it without practicing on smaller levels.

My friend Ryan challenged me to this gap that was quite a battle! I think this is my new personal record of gap distance, and on quite a sketchy wobbly bench too. Thanks @ryanlockitt16 @ziwi1020 for filming and pushing my limits, I haven’t worked for a clip like this in several months 😂

I got banned from riding but I’m still doing tricks 😂
To be serious though, I did get the doctor’s permission for this
Also, this was filmed several weeks ago — I’m doing better now and am allowed to ride without the splint, it’s just a slow journey back to 100%!

I filmed all of these clips at the groupride in Munich that was one of the coolest grouprides in my life!

This was my last day of riding during my week of traveling with my bike in Austria and Germany, and I can’t thank everyone enough for the awesome time.
I showed up in Munich extremely tired/sick from riding and traveling multiple days in Austria, and met up with @rinni_27.5 in the train station so he could help me understand the metro 😂
The group kept growing and we rode until at least 9 or 10pm, not wanting the fun to end… I don’t know how my body kept riding!

Looking back, this is an incredible memory that I wanted to share — just watching these videos back reminds me of so much more that wasn’t captured on camera.

It was so surreal to meet some guys I’ve known online for years, as well as make a bunch of new friends!
