Yesterday was rough, saying a final goodbye to our beautiful Bayard.

I knew from even before we picked him that he was going to be naughty, and I was definitely not wrong. Stealing donuts, and wheels of cheese, searching through bags for chewing gum, chasing possums, eating blocks of chocolate, throwing tantrums because his meal time is late, or sneaking a nap on our bed. He definitely kept us on our toes.

But I could never imagine just how much I could love him. He grew as Sammi and I grew and our family already feels different without him. I wasn’t a dog person before him, but he changed me.

I will forever remember him as our “sun puppy” - finding any slither of sunlight to bake in, our “hot water puppy” - cuddling on the couch with me, our “hungry puppy” - anyone would think we didn’t feed him, our “flappy ear puppy” - ears flapping in the wind, our “crazy puppy” - doing the best zoomies, but most of all an amazing companion doing life with us.

I love getting out in nature and hiking Montserrat was a really unique experience. The mountain is incredible and like nowhere I have been before, and then add a monastery just to top it off. taken in Montserrat, Cataluna, Spain by @nathjaeger
