Growing up Ukrainian American in Upstate NY, I have spent my life finding ways to connect with my heritage, especially through craft. Although I first learned the art of writing Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) as a child, it wasn’t until the 2014 invasion of Ukraine that it became a passion, ensuring the preservation and dissemination of a unique Ukrainian art form.
