Her take on mindful drinking is having the agency to choose what’s right for you in the moment. Sometimes maybe that’s still a craft cocktail or a local IPA. More often for her it’s something that helps her body, mind, and spirit relax, without the negative impacts of alcohol. Rich. Slightly bitter. A little resinous, and maybe mischievous. 👁️ The Pathfinder came across the N/ATION tasting bar this week, and we enjoyed every minute of it. We sipped it straight to start and got a touch of Old Fashioned vibes (just in time for cooler weather), even though its true spirit cousin is an Amaro, not a whiskey. Then we mixed it with a can of @drinkhiyo Blackberry Lemon and a few dashes of Orange Cardamom bitters from @allthebitter, and the wormwood, angelica root, saffron, and Douglas fir all came alive in a simple presentation. Side note: this tasting also made us a little obsessed with wormwood as an ingredient. We were wrong. @roadiebrew’s Super Light Brew is 0.0% ABV, 0 calories, and somehow still tastes like an actual beer.
