@lauriepenny makes me believe the internet can be alive with real human emotion and thought again.

They have woven the DNA of my song, “wy2km” (want you to know me) into a rhetorically brilliant, always-entertaining alarm-call to anyone who still might want to considering using their full heart and brain to communicate, at an unprecedented time in which doing is so is less immediately rewarding than ever.

If you’re reading this, I believe in the human, messy, difficult, true parts of you and that they are not blemishes to bulldoze over but rather proof of your worth.

I Can Die Too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The opening scene is extraordinary, and the central moment featuring the song written by Natti Vogel is perhaps the show’s pièce de résistance.

A subtle and hopeful rather than tragic reimagining of Cocteau’s The Human Voice, the play explores the relationship between performance, rehearsal and reality. I loved the set, the cast, the music, and particularly the sharp dialogue, which makes the audience feel like participants in the rehearsal process.

A moving piece of theatre that transforms the act of creation into part of the performance, enhanced by beautiful songs, striking set design and real flowers in Pitlochry Studio Theatre. 🥾 🥾

what an insane joy to witness this wildly complex yet purely entertaining, brutally funny yet optimistically tender lovechild emerge - 7 years after the @nytw79 workshops!! - from the birth canal knock-kneed and virile in the Highlands

There’s so much I want to say about the song, about Frances’ spellbinding performance and inspiring, relentless creation ethic, about the matrilineal punk-rock emotional justice of the work she’s making and will continue to make, but for now…
