Happy 1st of October, I still need to find some wine corks so I can drop some of these on etsy and to glue fur to my minions of michaels. Much more little creations to come this month. Mostly sewing but hoping to get a few personal designs and at least 1 painting/drawing done. by @nattowilson

Preface: this is NOT FOR SALE and I don't intend to make anything of these designs for purchase. That being said my own watermark is all over these so please do not steal my work. All rights to Universal, MGM, and Mr. Maguire, I'm broke no one sue me.

Now, is there a version of this that I could sell with the art from the F. Baum books? Yes. Those are in the public domain. But I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in seeing that like i am so I didn't include those photos.

I have been kind of annoyed with the lack of Elphaba specific merch I've seen in person. In general though, there's never musical/big prod. merch in a style I would wear but I thought I'd find something sooner. Thankfully it seems post "for good" release that more merch is still being released so I'll find something. But during that period of not finding anything I thought why not make something of my own. I am a graphic designer after all, this is what I came up with.

I did have to do a font hunt which lead to some of the familiar fonts you see used in these but also lead me to recreating the font from the wizard of oz title card (pixelated by accident and not). Trust me I'm aware that sounds crazy, you should see my pin boards.

When I started to design these I really was envisioning a spirit jersey style shirt because I saw the new ones at Universal and there was an itch I needed to scratch. I didn't make that exact idea in my head yet but I'm still considering it. It wasn't until the end that I did reformat my designs for that style of shirt. The front for those "spirit jerseys" would just be the custom elphie monogram. The t-shirt front with the WW corresponds to the back with the text from the first wicked book. The Wicked front is it's own thing.

Maybe I'll make more designs for fun including my original jersey idea until the creative well (my wicked brain) is dry.

Inspired by my love of medieval revival, ads from child hood, dinner shows, 70s drive ins, paper theaters, and above all else the movies, I give you.....Magnalia Cinemas.

"A cinema born from lore. Where the realm gathers."

Magnalia Cinema is a 4-7 screen dine in theater imagining the future of movie theatres by looking into a fun take on the past. Step inside and find yourselves in a medieval approach to the beloved pictures. Instead of plagues and raids we offer comfortable seats, grand stories for all movie lovers, and good eats. Our menu offers a little bit for everyone, from classic popcorn to medieval inspired treats like our savory hand pies. Whether it is needing a quick snack or a filling hot meal you can find something at our concessions stall. In addition to a few decor pieces, folk games, and a handful of fire breathing beast we also carry an arsenal of drinks and elixirs including our very own house made mead and ciders at our tavern.

Pick a tale, grab a treat, and find your seat. The show is beginning at a Magnalia Cinemas near you!

( I can't fit the entirety of this project in 20 slides so I will be happilu sharing more as I continue wrapping this up. The project taught me many new methods, the art of patience, and pushed me out of my comfort zone in more ways than one. My copy writing has gotten a real work out is all I can say. In honor of @marshassouthstreet grand opening today I made a little design. I hope this space becomes a really lovely meeting place for the community in philly and surrounding areas.

I've been watching sports my whole life, my family is almost entirely made of women and almost every single one loves a sport, watches a sport, or played one. Me and my family watch the Olympics together and root for the athletes and the jamaican teams. Even my grandma is a new fan of the eagles and we watch their games together if she's feeling up to it but shes always liked to watch track meets. The city needs more places that keep that joy of community in sports and turns on the women's sports games as they're broadcasted. I'm excited and I hope others are too.
