As a Latina and immigrant who has fought entirely on her own to make a name for herself as a model here in Asheville, working with Harley-Davidson—especially as someone who loves motorcycles—is surreal to say the least. With zero outside connections or shortcuts, I’ve had to earn everything I’ve accomplished professionally. To some this might seem small, but to me, it’s massive. Sharing this incredible experience with my husband @mattos_soul , makes it all 1000 times better. Shoutout to Jasmin @aybabyquepaso for looking out for us Latinos. Que chimba, hpta! The 18-year-old version of me wouldn’t believe this for a second.

Parker had this incredible idea that evolved into “Madre Monte”, a mystical figure from Colombian folklore known as “The Goddess of the Jungle.”

@parkerjpfister , it’s always amazing and liberating to create with you. Your eye, your imagination, and the way you tell stories through photography make every project feel like an adventure. Everyone should have the chance to experience working with someone who creates from such a genuine place.

Cat and Christine created a safe and peaceful space from the very start. Sharing this moment with Summer, a woman I admire, added a profound layer of empowerment and connection that made the session incredibly rewarding. Two years post-Helene, and Appalachia is standing so strong.

Living through trees falling on our house, flooded streets, and zero water or heat was intense, but it showed me the best side of humanity. Community is everything, and knowing the people living right next door it’s essential. Super grateful for this beautiful community that took us in with open hearts.

I based this character on a doll.
When we were little we would dress our Barbie dolls and give them different haircuts, clothes, and play with them. But eventually we would get bored of them and forget them on the bottom of some box.

That’s how society sees everything and everyone now, just something or someone you can use for a while and just discard when is no longer useful to you. But we aren’t objects! We’re supposed to be united and helpful not used and discarded.

I know there is more good out there than bad, we just have to keep fighting to be better.

When I was a little girl I would take my mom’s clothes and makeup and create characters and give them a personality.

Imagination it’s something we start loosing when we get older, so I love incorporating that child spirit of just playing and trying different things in my art form that’s modeling.
