Vintage @oakley sunnies available at @natural.law - DM for catalogue by @natural.law
Low season, they said. Nothing happening in town… Well, this Saturday at @natural.law whilst the snow was falling outside, our table was full. People came to try something new, cyanotype. There were the snacks more this time since some people brought more to share, ideas going back and forth across the table, and that little moment when the paper goes into the water and the blue shows up. Everyone getting excited about their own creations 🤍 That’s what we love about these workshops. It’s not only what you take home. It’s sitting at the same table with people you might not have met otherwise, and making something together. Next up is this Friday and Saturday at @le.baron.perche in Sarreyer: a new printing technique: COLLAGRAPH, a long table with the best view sunny weather, local food and local artists. We still have a few spots, and we’ve made a local price so it’s easier for everyone to join. Come just on Friday or stay for both days. 🗓️Comment CREATE and we’ll send you the link, or write to us at contact@lachaise.community. 🤍Thank you to everyone who keeps showing up and keeps these workshops alive. And to @natural.law, for always opening the door. We speak EN · FR · IT · ES. Pets welcome, just let us know before. More info link in bio 🤍 by @natural.law

Our October to feel Trees don’t carry into winter what they no longer need, and this in-between month is a good time to ask what we’re carrying ourselves. The town goes quiet, the light comes in low, and there’s finally room to make something slowly, next to people you didn’t know before for some strange reason… We’ve built the month around two printmaking techniques that work with what autumn drops. - Saturday 24 October, 13:30–16:30, at @natural.law , Verbier. Cyanotype: sun printing on treated paper. Friday 30 to Saturday 31 October, in Sarreyer with @le.baron.perche. Collagraph, over two days in a 200-year-old barn. You build a plate from leaves, stems and fabric, ink it and press it, then leave it overnight. The work changes when you come back to it rested, and the second day usually goes somewhere you didn’t plan. Come gather creatively this October. Comment OCTOBER for the link to book your spots. 🍂 by @natural.law

Crochet Basics, this Sunday There is a particular kind of quiet that settles over a table when hands are busy. Over, under, pull through, repeat. Stitch by stitch, a rhythm takes hold, conversation loosens, and something small begins to exist that wasn’t there before. This Sunday, 4 October, from 16:30 to 19:30, we gather at Natural Law for a beginner’s introduction to crochet. We’ll learn how to hold the hook and yarn, find our tension, and practise the essential stitches. Then each person begins a first piece of their own, to take home and keep going. All materials, light snacks and drinks are included, book your spot link in bio or comment CROCHET and we will send it over to you 🫶🏼 Places are limited. Book ahead through the link in our bio, or write to us directly at contact@lachaise.community or on WhatsApp at +41 76 623 12 45. We speak English, French, Italian and Spanish, and pets are welcome if you let us know in advance. With thanks to @natural.law for hosting us. by @natural.law
A few spots left for today. Grab a friend and come print with sunlight 🌿 Cyanotype Printing · 13:30–16:30 · @natural.law · link in bio What changes when you walk with a purpose? Most forest walks happen in your head. Go out looking for shapes instead and you start noticing how a leaf is cut, what will cast a clean shadow. It’s still a walk, you just come back with a composition. Cyanotype is photography without a camera. Put a fern on paper coated in iron salts, give it a few minutes of sun, rinse it, and the shadow stays behind in deep blue. The process dates from 1842. It’s also where the word « blueprint » comes from. Creative work gets the part of your brain that daydreams and the part that focuses working together. The not-knowing is part of the pull too: your reward system responds most strongly when you can’t predict the result. Bring what you find on the way, or use what we’ve gathered. If not we will provide you with other cool stuff 🫶🏼 All materials included, no experience needed. Book via the link in bio or message us, and we’ll save you a chair.🪑 by @natural.law
There’s a kind of intelligence that lives only in the hands. You can’t think your way into it, you have to make something badly first, then a little better, then something you didn’t expect. That’s the whole premise of La Chaise. This Wednesday it’s crochet initiation workshop. One hook, one strand of yarn, and the couple of stitches that quietly built half the objects sitting in most people’s grandmothers’ houses. We’ll teach you those stitches. What you do with them afterward is the interesting part. Natural Law, Verbier. 16:30 to 19:30. All materials included. Pets welcomed and snacks and drinks also provided. Book your spot with the link in bio 🤗🫶🏼🪑 by @natural.law
