29 years ago, I came to the United States from the Czech Republic with just $500, one small bag of clothes, and two words in English:
“Chicken” and “coffee, please.”

I was only 21 years old.
No family here. No clear plan. I came just to travel and have fun… never imagining I would stay and completely rebuild my life.

America changed me.

I learned English. I learned Polish.
I went from being a chemist back home to discovering my passion in the beauty and permanent makeup industry.

Little by little, step by step, I built my small business in Chicago.

Was it easy?
No. It was uncomfortable, lonely, and full of uncertainty.

But it was worth it.

Today I’m proud of how far I’ve come. And I truly believe this:
If you want something badly enough, you can build it — no matter where you start.

It was a long road… but a beautiful one. 🤍
