LET’S BE GREAT—TOGETHER! 💕

I have exactly 18 days to reach my fundraising goal!

Yes, I know I’m cutting it close, but this sista has been through some things. I have been fighting personal battles of my own, but I refuse to let those battles silence my purpose. I am still standing, still fighting, and still committed to advocating for a cause that is deeply personal to me.

Breast cancer has touched too many of our families, friends, sisters, mothers, daughters, and communities. Some of our sisters are exhausted. Some are frightened. Some are fighting quietly, and some are simply too tired to fight alone.

So, I’m tagging myself in for them.

I am asking you from my heart: Please help me reach my goal. Help me help others. Your donation, no matter the amount, can help support the fight against breast cancer and expand access to quality care, education, research, and support services.

There is a fight going on, and I refuse to sit on the sidelines. I may have started late, but I am determined to finish strong!

My husband, Dayton, was detained by Customs and Border Protection at O'Hare airport while returning home. Dayton is a Jamaican citizen who has legally resided in the United States for over 28 years. We have a blended family of five children and seven grandchildren, and we have been married for over six years. Dayton is currently employed with Walmart Distribution Center in Joliet, Illinois, and is also an amazing chef who has blessed many with his delicious cuisines. We were recently featured in the South Suburban News for celebrating Black Love and Excellence. This sudden and targeted action has torn our family apart. In just three days, Dayton has been transported to three different facilities in three separate states. I have reached out to government officials, social activists, and organizations to petition on his behalf. Despite these efforts, we are now facing overwhelming legal fees to fight his deportation. I have retained a lawyer, but the hefty retainer is dwindling quickly, and the process is moving fast. I cannot let my husband be deported due to lack of proper representation. For years, I have stood in the gap for others—as a Park District Commissioner, fighting food insecurity, and organizing drives for students in Kenya and women in our local prison. Now, I am fighting for my own family. We are working with immigration attorneys to pursue every legal option available to keep our family together. Unfortunately, the financial burden has become more than we can manage alone. Dayton is a hardworking, loving husband who has contributed so much to our home and community. Our family, our stability, and our future are at stake. We are humbly asking for your support during this urgent time. Today I was SUPPOSED to be taking Rose in for her surgery to amputate her left paw due to cancer. Once the Vet looked her over, she said that her quality of life wouldn't be just. Soooo after being lost from my family for over 12 years, I had to put her down. My heart is hurting. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my fur babies!!! This put yet another hole in my heart for 2025!! I'm grateful for the 3months we had her back!! She was reunited with her litter mate/ brother Kaos to spend her last days. Kaos is not doing well either, I don't know how much more I can take. I know im being selfish, and it's truly about their quality of life but damn this hurts so bad!!! I don't witness to let them go!!! Yall pray for me!! Yall Sis is going through it emotionally! Good bye my sweet Rose walk in peace across that rainbow bridge.

We Are Our Sisters’ Keeper!

In this season of giving, let us remember those who are less fortunate. I am partnering with Dorcas Destiny International to support young ladies and teens in Kenya and East Africa who are in need of essential hygiene items.

Our Mission

To provide 115+ toiletry bags filled with basic necessities many of us take for granted, including:

Toothbrushes

Lotion

Sanitary products

Body wash

Other essential hygiene items

Each bag will include 1–2 months of supplies. Your contribution—big or small—will make a meaningful impact!
