Charlie and I went looking for a little history today and found an old logging chute built in the 1800s. 🪵
Naturally, after that we decided the next logical step was to go hiking through the most terrifying part of the forest. 🌲😳
Steep hills. Treacherous paths. Questionable footing. And the very real possibility that a bear was watching us from the bushes. 🐻

Charlie: “Adventure!”
Me: “Are you sure this is a good idea?”
Charlie: “Absolutely. If we get eaten, at least we’ll have had fun.” 😂

Just another perfectly normal day in the woods.

Two dragonflies, locked together in mid-air. Romance? A feud? I'll never know. They flew a little too low, hit the water, and suddenly it wasn't about winning or mating anymore... it was about surviving. Nature always keeps you guessing.

Happy birthday to my dessert loving mama . I celebrate you every day , not just today and of course, wish I could go back in time to have celebrated you more ...but I think you know , from where you are now, how much I miss you and wish we had had more time together. And I wish i could have made things less sad for you, especially in your final years , but I just prayed that my being by your side until the very end made you feel loved and happy....and ironically now im left here sad, you were right, your passing would hurt the most

Ordered the surf & turf... turns out it fought back. 😂🦞 The seagull nearly dropped its prize mid-flight, wrestled it on the lawn, took a few pecks... then decided, 'You know what? I'm good.'

I have always believed that the oldest forests are nature's cathedrals.

There is a reverence you feel when standing beneath a tree that has lived for a hundred years or more

Osprey Restaurant nearly got robbed today. Dad protected the delivery, Mom waited at the nest, and the hungry customers had no idea the chef almost lost the order! 😄

Couldn't believe it when 2 osprey from another area showed up out of nowhere and one of them tried to steal the day's catch.A fight ensued. and dad chased both osprey away from the area.Wild 😍😍🔥🔥
