Our cool update? “There’s no place like @inspiredbyyoufest.”

This incredible festival is where Naturely Cool began in 2023. Every year, we get so excited to bring nature crafts to kids of all ages and meet so many amazing people from Chicago and beyond. This year is no exception!

The Fest is back at Douglass Park on Sunday, June 22nd. We’ll be there and we can’t wait to see you 💚🌱

Happy Mother’s Day from our crew to yours 🌿

We spent this afternoon weeding our 89-year-old matriarch’s garden to help her get ready for planting this week. She is our family gardener and we have learned so much from her.

Lots of hard work but it was worth it for our Granny Gran! 💚

🐝 RECAP 🐝 Last month, our family helped pack grow kits for @chicagogrowsfood. We found out about this event through @honeycombproject, a cool organization that coordinates family volunteer activities in Chicago.

We had such a good time that we’re doing it again on Saturday, June 29. Want to join us?

The cicadas have arrived at Casa del Cool! We spotted them in our daylily plants, lilac bush and a small tree. We also had a couple in our car tires 👀

We’re back OUTSIDE… literally!

This Saturday is our first outdoor market of the year and we are super excited. The @cityofwestchicagoil Blooming Fest is where gardening enthusiasts, craft lovers, and everyone else can enjoy one of our area’s largest plant sales, live music, a variety of craft and food vendors, and enjoyable family-friendly activities.

And, it’s happening from 9a-3p and it’s FREE!

Did you know that @napersettlement has an agricultural education program called “Field Watchers?” We checked it out last weekend and really enjoyed it.

It’s a very hand-on learning experience which is always great. The best part? It’s free for student groups.
