Nature play is back!
But a little bit different this time, Enner Glynn playcentre is going to be hosting Nature play. Which is amazing meaning it if I am sick it won't be cancelled and if the wind is too wild or rain too heavy we can retreat to playcentre.
It will be same same place (Montebello Reserve, 25 Montebello Ave, Stoke)
Different time (Friday starting 9:30am)

First session will be Friday 16th October
Put it in the calendar! 📅

We will see you there ❤️ by @natureplayparenting

UPDATE! Nature play group is now hosted by Enner Glynn Playcentre which means it is nowon Fridays and is all morning 9am-1pm 🎉

Kia ora 👋 Hi 😊
So many new people have arrived while I've been on holiday! So it's time for a reintroduction.

I'm Emily, an early childhood teacher turned SAHM. Who lives at the bottom of the earth in Aotearoa, New Zealand 🇳🇿

Raising kids is hard. The most rewarding things always are!

So I wanna make your life a bit easier by spilling the secrets of early childhood teachers.

How we get through the day with a smile on our face, how we laugh in the chaos.

How we manage to feed, toilet, and put so many kids to bed as well as teaching them big life stuff!

My secret weapons have always been play and nature.

Once you know how to use them, everything becomes a lot easier and actually enjoyable!!

Stick around for all things play 🤸‍♀️and exploring nature🌿 with your minis.

I'm glad you're here😊❤️ by @natureplayparenting

I will continue running Nelson Nature playgroup over the next 2 weeks.

✨️Tuesday 7th October and
Tuesday 14th October ✨️

definitely, and then I'll let everyone know how I'm going and if we can get a few bonus sessions in before pēpi arrives.

I do plan on starting it up again in the new year but that is all dependent on how pēpi is.

So if you've been wanting to come along and haven't made it yet come sneak in a session over the next 2 weeks before I go on maternity.

The ultimate sensory exploration, just being outside 🌿💚

Chill mum outside.... absolute dictator inside 🙈

I hate cleaning, the constant cleaning as a SAHM is the equivalent to clearing emails at work. Monotonous, potentially triggering, depending on what you find, and never ending.

Which means messy play is strictly an outside activity for us.

Nature is my home girl that does a lot of the heavy lifting for me with the wind and the rain, it all eventually washes away. 😂

I am forever a more relaxed mum outside 🌿

where do you land? by @natureplayparenting

Taste safe, biodegradable, fizzy powder made from ingredients found in the supermarket / your cupboard already!

Since making this fizzy powder, we have been doing so much more potion play as a jug of vinegar isn't required every time.

To help make the play last longer, providing small spoons for portion control or even putting the powder in a Shaker (if you have a toddler that just dumps everything out) helps a lot!

Also, using squeezy bottles or spray bottles for the water can also help extend the play.

Fizzy potion recipe

🔮1/2 Cup Baking soda
🔮1/4 Cup Citric acid
🔮1/4 Cup Cornflour
🔮Food colouring (I recommend powdered if you can. It adds an extra element of surprise and magic✨️)
🔮Essential oils (optional, but adds an extra sense to the play)
🔮Bio glitter (also optional, but who doesn't love an extra bit of sparkle🪄✨️✨️)

SAVE for inspo on those days you can't think of what to do! let me know how it goes.
