🌿 Sustainability is often about doing less harm.

But what if the real opportunity is to do more good?

@naudnvp invites us to rethink our cities. Not as concrete systems. But as living ones.

Green walls are not just beautiful design features.
They can restore biodiversity.
Clean the air.
Cool our streets.
Bring nature back into daily life.

What if our buildings were not just structures…but habitats?

“Somewhere along the way, we moved from being a part of nature to being apart from nature.”

Have our cities forgotten how to breathe? Today @naudnvp reminded us that the most powerful solutions to saving the world are often the simplest: trees, plants, and green spaces that can quietly heal everything from our stress to our climate. As one of our Impact Program pioneers, his talk embodied the kind of simple yet bold ideas that make the world better.

What would Amsterdam look like if every wall grew green?

📢New Impact Pioneer Announcement

🌿 How do we add more green to our cities, even when there’s no ground left? Meet Naud van der Padt, the passionate mind behind Leafy, who is on a mission to transform city walls into vibrant, living ecosystems.

At Leafy, it’s all about nurturing nature in urban spaces. Naud and his team create modular, self-sustaining green façades that breathe life into concrete jungles. Their innovative work boosts biodiversity, cools our cities, improves air quality, and brings nature back into daily city life.

Naud shares, “We’re tackling heat stress, preventing flooding, cleaning the air, boosting biodiversity, and improving both mental and physical health—one wall at a time.”
