We all know pistachio and chocolate go well together. So we added rum! Heh heh.

Poison Pistachio is the third and final drink of our Halloween series. Pistachio and cream, with cacao nibs infused dark rum for the chocolate part. Looks so innocent with the cute web on top, but it’s a little bittersweet and super easy to finish. Don’t say we never warn you ah.

🕷️Widow’s Kopi is our take on your local favourite from the kopitiam downstairs. Strong, aromatic coffee, toasty and caramelised, with that sweet condensed milk that is all so familiar.

First up on our Halloween menu: the Devil’s Tongue😈

A spicy margarita that looks like it’s been up to no good. You get a strong whiff of fresh chillies first, then the heat, the savory salt on the rim, and a mild bitterness at the end that keeps you coming back.

You pick the heat. Tell the bartender if you want da la, zhong la or xiao la (big, medium or small spice). No judgment if you go xiao la or wei la, the devil understands.

Our Chrysanthemum Bee’s Knees, and no, there’s no bees in it (but the honey’s one of the main ingredients lol)

Fun fact, the original Bee’s Knees is from Prohibition times, honey was used to mask the taste of bad bootleg gin back then. And the name has nothing to do with bees or knees, it was just old slang for “the best”

The chrysanthemum bit is more personal. My mum used to make chrysanthemum tea at home all the time, said it helps with “heat” in the body. Not sure if that’s actually true but it sure tasted good! So we added that floral note into a classic Bee’s Knees and it went super well together🐝

Our Lemongrass Lychee Martini, where lychee is the main character, walking the red carpet with lemongrass as her chaperone.

We muddle a whole lychee straight into the shake, no shortcuts, no syrup pretending to be fruit. Fresh lime keeps it citrusy and smooth all the way down.

I don’t think I know anyone who hates pandan hor? (Please say yes)

Had an idea to use it to round off the harshness of a margarita. Felt like a lab experiment, tequila, lime, pandan, a little prayer🙏🏼 Surprisingly, it smoothened out the edges and gave it this soft, vanilla-coconut flavour to land on. Yum!

Soft launch: survived. Bartender: still standing, barely.

Thank you to everyone who came down and pulled up a seat at the counter. Every seat, every DM, every share, every “when are you launching your next menu?” meant more than I can put into a caption. But the best part was watching strangers turn into friends over drinks, swapping stories and laughing like they’d known each other for years. This started as a hobby in my kitchen, and now you’re all sitting there judging my every move👀 and making friends while you’re at it. Thank you for being the bravest first guests a monkey could ask for.

To those who came, come back soon, round two is going to be even better. To those who didn’t, no stress, we’re saving you a seat!

Fans of pulut hitam, rejoice! Introducing the Pulut Hitam Old Fashioned.

Also known as black glutinous rice, purple rice, or whatever you call this dessert. We turned it into an old fashioned and topped it with a little salted coconut cream foam.

Seasonal special alert 🍍 the Pineapple Rojak Gin Spritz, made with @rachelletherabbit.sg Rojak Gin. Infused with torch ginger flower(aka rojak flower), yes, the fragrant pink bud the rojak auntie shaves into the sauce but nobody notices because she’s so fast. Floral, tangy, a little cheeky, paired with juicy pineapple and a fizzy finish that makes it dangerously easy to order a second.
