QB is played from the ground up.

Footwork and balance are keys to playing at the highest level. If your feet are off, your platform is compromised.

Unlock your arm, by using the ground. #OFFPLATFORMQBTRAINING #football #qb taken in Frederick Training Center by @navyblu__

Footwork is essential in playing the QB position.

Ladder drills are a staple for us. It helps us work on staying balanced, coordination and foot speed.

I also make all the QBs work with a football while performing these drills. We focus on keeping the ball at chest level with our eyes up, ready to throw a strike at any moment.

The second drill is a balance drill, working on navigating the pocket with a solid base and the correct footwork.

What are working to better in this drill:
- Knee bend
- Not reaching around the cones when moving lateral
- We want to move with our back foot first when we can - helps us to stay on balance and avoid crossing our feet
