Nothing in this world could have prepared me for the gift of being your mother. Tomorrow you wake up three years old. That doesn’t even seem possible, yet I don’t remember much of life before you. Today you woke up in your crib, with your little arms wrapped around your favorite bear, your tired eyes stared up at me and your sweet voice sang “mammmmaaaaa”. You have no idea what that does for me, my precious little boy. I have prayed many hours that I may have the discernment and wisdom to point you in the right direction and to nurture a selfless boy who will love people and treat them with kindness. Your little spirit is so joyful and ambitious to learn. You are constantly exploring new things and right underneath our feet trying to get your hands on new experiences. You amaze me.
