THE FACE BEHIND THE BEAT 🙋🏾‍♀️✨

Heyyyyy, hello, and WELCOME to all my new boos! Let me introduce myself!

I’m Char’na (SHAR-NAY like Chardonnay without the “duh”) and I’m a professional makeup artist from the great city of Houston, TX 😝🤘🏾

I specialize in NATURAL glam and have been in the beauty industry for 15+ years. I took a leap of faith during Covid to be a full time business owner!

I actually have a degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Forensic Chemistry but my passion for women and self-empowerment through beauty took over. I wanted women to feel and be their most confident, beautiful, authentic selves on any occasion in every environment because that’s how I felt when I first experimented in beauty.

Thank you those who have journeyed with me over the years and to those who just joined! You’ll be seeing a lot more of this face!

Champagne. Chemistry. Timeless romance. 🥂✨

Who says engagement photographs have to be traditional?

For Deandrea and Jacob, we envisioned something sophisticated, intimate, and effortlessly romantic.

A beautiful restaurant. Elevated fashion. A little champagne. And a whole lot of chemistry.

Juliet Houston provided the atmosphere, and these two brought the romance. ❤️

From the dramatic interiors to the iconic marquee, every photograph became another chapter in their engagement story.

Because beautiful photographs are one thing.

An experience that feels uniquely yours? That’s something entirely different.

And one thing I’ll always believe:

Love isn’t measured in years. It’s measured in moments.

The full engagement story is now on the blog!

The location wasn’t random. Neither were the details. ✨

Every photograph has a story. But the most meaningful photographs tell YOUR story.

For Jaye and Rain, that meant incorporating the things they love most into their engagement session.

Their favorite flowers.
A dream car.
Their personal wine collection.
Their favorite place to spend time together.

Four meaningful details. One beautiful love story.

This is what happens when we move beyond simply choosing a pretty backdrop and begin planning with intention.

And it’s exactly why I believe the photography experience should be just as personal as the portraits themselves.

I’m taking you behind the scenes of their engagement experience in my newest blog!

BEYOND THE BACKDROP ❤️

Discover how intentional planning can transform your engagement session into something uniquely yours.

This session felt like art, legacy, and celebration all in one. ✨

With roots in Detroit and memories made here in Houston, this Baylor-bound senior brought so much intention into her session. From designing her own corset and custom pieces to incorporating details that reflected her personality and culture, every part of this shoot felt authentic to who she is.

One of my favorite parts? Her family being involved.

Senior sessions are never just about the graduate. They’re about the village behind them — the parents, siblings, and loved ones who helped make this milestone possible. That’s why I always encourage families to jump in for a few portraits too. These moments matter. 🤍

Huge shoutout to Char’na @naythenatural for the flawless makeup artistry and Helen for doing what she does best. 😂

Alexa came to me with a vision for her 16th birthday… and babyyyy, we brought it to life ✨

She knew exactly what she wanted, and I love a young queen with confidence, style, and a plan 👏🏾 From the moment she stepped on set, she owned every look. Not only is she absolutely stunning (that chocolatey skin?! 😍), but her personality? Just as beautiful.

This is what I mean when I say your photoshoot should be an EXPERIENCE. I’m not here to just take pictures—I’m here to listen, guide, and execute your vision so you walk away feeling confident, seen, and celebrated.

And Alexa? We NAILED it. 💥

If you or your daughter has a vision for a birthday shoot, let’s make it happen. 💕 by @naythenatural

And this was the moment…

She read the message.

She realized…
She’s going to see Beyoncé. In Vegas. For her birthday.

There are no words for how it feels when someone loves you like this.

Just joy. Just awe. Just gratitude.

Happy 14th birthday, Ryane

She doesn’t know it yet…
But something big is coming.

That glow? That grace?
It’s giving main character energy — and she doesn’t even know the plot twist.

Confidence. Class.
And a countdown she hasn’t even started.

Mama didn’t just plan a photoshoot…
She orchestrated a moment.
And the stage is almost set. 🎭✨

When your mama knows you’re part of the Beyhive… she doesn’t just tell you — she shows you.

We recreated the Queen’s legendary image with a white horse named Platinum. And yes, it was just as fierce as it sounds.

This wasn’t cosplay. This was a love letter.
