Day trip. This was greatly needed. Packed some options to spend my time. Enjoyed the scenery and being around water. Met a furry friend who kept popping over to say hello. Thankful for God's provision, protection, and the experience. Even the drive was scenic and recharging. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾 by @ncart97

Sometimes a hairstyle is simply a hairstyle. Sometimes it is part of a journey. That journey may mark a celebration, a release, a declaration, an act of healing, an act of discovery, or a renewal. Well, I thought it was interesting that I made this hair appointment in the same month that I originally had to undergo a chop to begin the natural hair journey 16 years ago. I didn't realize this until I saw the date of the moment that the first chop was made. As I sat in the chair this time and when @styledby.kiaya cut away the broken and damaged ends of my hair, I was like, "Lord, thank you for reminding me how you do the same thing in our lives. You prune and get rid of the dead things, the broken and damaged things in our lives. Your healing and removal of those things give room for healthy new beginnings, healthy growth in you, and restoration in you. So, thank you for this tangible reminder of the power of your touch and presence in my life." by @ncart97

First time trying Ethiopian coffee (decaf w/oat milk). It was so good and smooth. Paired well with the house dessert. Cafe Desta was a great Saturday morning vibe. by @ncart97
