🇵🇸 Here’s some easy read information about how to join our next march for Palestine. We are meeting on Sunday 8 February at midday.

We are protesting that there is still a genocide in Palestine.
“israel” is still killing people in Palestine
there are more than 9000 Palestinian hostages
“israel” is killing and kidnapping health staff.

ROUTE CONFIRMED:
Meet at Central Station in Newcastle, NE1 5AF at midday.
We will start walking at 12:30
We will arrive at Grey’s Monument at 1pm.
It is a good protest for wheelchair users. There are no steps.

We will confirm the route nearer the time.

At Grey’s Monument there will be speeches about Palestine. It will be noisy. There will be chanting. You can bring headphones. We will finish by 2:30pm, but you can leave when you like.

If you don’t want to march you can meet at the Monument, from 12:30. There will be a Safer Space. It is a quiet area for anyone who needs a rest, families and disabled people. We will be doing crafts. Come and say hello! Look for the DPAC sign (Disabled People Against Cuts).

You can bring flags or signs. You could dress like a health worker. You can write to your politicians, we will have a stall.

There are toilets you can use in local cafes and pubs. Central Library and Central Station have Changing Places Toilets. Be prepared for sunshine or rain. Wear a mask if you like.

Plan your journey on the Nexus Journey Planner. If you want to walk back to your bus or train with other people, meet at the Safer Space at the end of the march.

If you want help, ask a steward in an orange jacket. And you can email us if you have any questions- NewcastlePSC@gmail.com

Let’s call this what it is: a sham process designed to punish student activism.

Newcastle Amnesty Society is being pushed into a full disciplinary hearing for using a Bob Vylan
sound on Instagram. A public, widely used audio clip. This is how institutions have always tried to shut down uncomfortable truths. Whether students
were fighting apartheid, marching against war, or calling out state violence, the response has
been the same: bureaucratic pressure dressed up as process.

We will not be silenced.
We will not be intimidated.

And we will not apologise for standing with Palestine and defending the right to political speech.
More updates soon. Spread the word by @ncl.amnesty

Newcastle University continues its ties to the Zionist entity, particularly weapons companies like Leonardo who arm the Zionist entity as it violates the ceasefire and murders civilians.

Join us at the arches to demonstrate against Newcastle University’s complicity in the continued genocide of the Palestinian people.

A better world is waiting! Disarm Education! Free Palestine! 🇵🇸🇵🇸 by @ncl.amnesty
