this february compared to last february have been drastically different in all the best ways.
even with the current state of the world,
this past year,
I’ve felt more love than I have in a really long time…
and I’m not talking about romantic love either.

love doesn’t have to be a specific day where you shop for chocolates and flowers. love isn’t a day just for couples. love is sending your long distant friend a reel. love is your pet sleeping on your lap. love is sharing your food with the homie. love is greeting strangers with kindness. love is splurging on small businesses. love is supporting your people in everything they do. love is looking at the sky, with your eyes closed, and feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin.
love can be found in everyday life,
without any expectations,
or limitations,
to how you should love.

I love, love.
I love seeing people in love.
I love giving out compliments.
I love making strangers smile.
I love meeting new people.
I love my family.
and most of all,
I love telling my friends I love them.

in the times that we live in now,
it’s so hard to feel the, “love in the air.”
the world is hurting. the grief is heavy.
but what better time to spread love than now?
love is needed most when you feel it the least.

don’t lose hope in finding love when it shows up from strangers, your friends, your family,
and most especially (and hopefully)
from you, too.
be another person who loves unconditionally.
be the embodiment of love.

and I love you.
