PÉPITE DU JOUR
BY FRED GOATY

How are you doing N’dambi ?

Sister Roberta,
Thank you for all the beautiful stories you shared through your words. Along with the writings, you lent your beautiful contralto voice to sing melodies uniquely your own. We thank you for the lens you created from. You inspired someone like me to believe there was room to tell my stories through my lens with my voice. Your work is timeless and will never be forgotten. You have left an indelible mark that has a beautiful place that is all is own! We celebrate your magic on this day knowing you will live on through your music. Rest well, Queen!!! #soulmusic #legacy #sundayandsisterjpnes #inspiration #restwellqueen by @ndambi

My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to Southern California … that the Santa Anna winds cease so the fires can die out and that humanity continues to wrap its arms around every family, man, woman, child, and animal affected by such huge devastation, and that there is peace well beyond understanding. For the past few days, I have struggled with what to say. I, being on the outside looking in, am still trying to process the enormity of it all. For soooo many years, this place welcomed me with open arms, took me in, and became my home. And while I am still stunned, this is my humble prayer. If you can, let each one of us find a way to be of help to Los Angeles. There are plenty of great organizations that are taking donations for the many in need. Please find one to support. If you do not have a place of choice, check out my sister @thishippychic whose nonprofit organization @projectflyla is working tirelessly to get monetary donations along with items such as clothes, bedding, toiletries, water and more for all those in need. Please DM her if you are interested. We are all in, LA!! We love you!!

Embrace the energy around you—it shapes your reality! Let us be very deliberate and intentional with everything we do, think and say. Align with those things that bring you joy and only feel obligated to saying “Yes” to yourself.

This new year ushers in the opportunity to trust the process while exuding patience to let it unfold.

Embrace those moments of introspection; they reveal the depths of our character, dreams, and desires….when we take a moment to look within, we uncover the strength, beauty, and authenticity that define us.
