I couldn’t be more thankful that you’re my dad.
Growing up, I pushed a lot of things away. I neglected blessings that were right in front of me and honestly, there were so many life lessons my dad tried to give me that I didn’t want to hear.
I thought I knew better. I didn’t understand at the time that so many of the things he was trying to teach me weren’t meant to hold me back, but to guide me, protect me, and point me toward the Lord.

Until one day, I stopped. I actually listened. And I learned.

Looking back now, I’m so grateful for the things I once tried to push away. I’m grateful for a dad who never stopped loving me, never stopped praying for me, and never stopped pointing me back to Jesus, even when I wasn’t ready to listen.
And what means so much to me is that my dad doesn’t keep those lessons to himself or just our family. He has always had a heart to share what the Lord has taught him with other people, too.
Now, he’s stepping into a new season of giving away what the Lord has given him. Sharing his stories, his lessons, his encouragement, and the things God has placed on his heart in hopes that someone else might hear exactly what they need to hear.
I’ve gotten to see firsthand how God can take the things we don’t understand, the seasons we question, and the lessons we resist, and use them for something so much bigger than ourselves.

So Dad, I’m proud of you. I’m proud of the man you are, the father you’ve been, and the way you continue to say yes to whatever the Lord puts in front of you.
I pray that through this next season, your words reach the people God has already prepared to hear them.
If you want to hear some of what my dad has been given to share, he has devotionals available on his website, both written and in audio.

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed… nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20

If you never see the fruit and are only called to plant the seeds, will you go again?

That’s the question I left Alaska with last year. And my answer was always yes.

I just didn’t know that yes would bring me back.

Before this trip, the Lord made it clear that He was calling me to walk boldly: in my prayers, my testimony, and my faith. He was asking me to trust Him enough to step outside of what was comfortable and lay my fears at His feet.

And He was faithful.

In Alaska, we watched hearts soften, chains break, people begin to ask questions about Jesus, and conversations turn into opportunities to share the Gospel. We saw seeds planted before us begin to grow, and I’m forever grateful to have witnessed it.

For two weeks, we showed up. We loved people, listened to their stories, prayed, shared the Gospel, and trusted God with the outcome.

And in the ordinary moments, we saw God move, in kids laughing at camp, conversations that went deeper than we expected, prayers spoken over people, and moments where all we could do was listen. We didn’t always know what God was doing in those moments, but we knew He was there.

The people of Nenana gave us the space to speak boldly about Jesus, share our testimonies, and love them well. They welcomed us into their lives, and I’ll never forget getting to witness what God was already doing long before we arrived.

These two weeks reminded me that obedience doesn’t mean knowing what God will do. It means trusting Him enough to say yes anyway.

He doesn’t want perfect people. He wants those who are willing

Alaska, thank you for letting us love you, serve alongside you, and witness what God is doing. Forever grateful I got to say yes again. 🤍 taken in Nenana, Alaska by @ndanae55

Thank you Jesus. 🎓
I still can’t fully believe this chapter is over.
These past few years at SEU have been some of the most stretching, refining, beautiful, and unexpected years of my life. There were seasons where I questioned myself, my path, seasons where I felt overwhelmed, and seasons where I thought maybe I needed something different. But through every high and low, the Lord stayed faithful.
When I look back on college, I don’t just think about graduating. I think about the people. The friendships built through Wawa runs, Portico conversations, worship nights, side quests, and all the small moments that somehow became the most meaningful ones. The people who sat with me in hard seasons, reminded me of truth when I lost sight of it, celebrated every win, and truly made SEU feel like home.
I don’t know who I would be without the people God placed in my life here.
This season gave me so much more than a degree. It taught me what community looks like. What it means to be loved well. What it means to grow through uncomfortable seasons instead of running from them. And most importantly, it showed me over and over again that God’s plans are always more beautiful than the ones we try to create for ourselves.
As bittersweet as it is to leave this season behind, I’m so excited for what’s ahead. Excited for new opportunities, new growth, and new ways the Lord will continue to move.
I’m forever grateful for every person, every lesson, every laugh, and every season that led me here. 🤍 taken in Southeastern University by @ndanae55

Roomies 💛
Roughly 45 days ago Tori put up a countdown till graduation and let’s just say I wasn’t a fan. It felt like a constant reminder of how little time we had left with each other. But Tori shifted my perspective and reminded me it a way to soak in every little moment, appreciating even the smallest things in our final days together.

Room 312, our home for the past two years, holds some of my favorite memories: improv dance parties, surprise birthdays, planning engagements 💍, roomie brunches, late-night dinners, movie nights with the girls, early morning gym sessions and runs around the lake, and of course countless coffee runs.

This place became home because of these girls.

You 3 have truly been such a gift to me. Living in 312 with each one of you has been one of the sweetest seasons of my life, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Forever grateful for my roomies 🤍🥲 taken in Lakeland, Florida by @ndanae55

Jamaica… 🇯🇲
Two weeks before we left, our team gathered for a night of prayer and intercession. We prayed boldly, speaking out what we believed God was going to do in the lives of this community.
Even before that night, I knew the Lord was sending me back to Jamaica… but I didn’t fully understand why.
During that time of prayer, He made it clear: we weren’t just going to plant seeds. We were going to help shift identity.
Not by what others call them.
Not by their circumstances.
Not by whether they have parents or not.
But by what He calls them:
Children. Loved. Seen. Valuable.
(1 John 3:1, Isaiah 43:1)
I went into this trip believing God would begin transforming how these kids saw themselves… but I had no idea just how intentional He would be.
If you supported me last year, you might remember the little girl I connected deeply with. Seeing her again, my heart melted as she ran up to me with the biggest smile. But the Lord gently reminded me: this trip is different.
During worship one night, as I sat next to her, I felt God speak clearly:
“Get up. Go outside.”
Outside, they were sharing a message about letting go of unforgiveness. I found myself next to a 14-year-old girl who opened up about being bullied… about a boy at school calling her ugly.
That moment wasn’t random. It wasn’t coincidence. God had orchestrated it. He moved me out of comfort and into a divine conversation that needed to happen. And that conversation opened the door for the whole week.
We talked about school, life, and God. One night she asked if we had a Bible to share, and the next time we saw her, we brought her one. We spent time reading together, highlighting verses, and walking through how to start reading the Word. At the end, I prayed over her and wrote in her Bible, reminding her who God says she is.
But God wasn’t done.
The next night, another teammate sat with her and spoke life over her. My friend gave her a card from previous mission trips… and it said she was beautiful.
Not coincidence. Exactly what God intended.
This trip wasn’t easy, but even in the hard moments, God was moving in front of us, reminding His children who they truly are and what He sees in them. taken in Kingston, Jamaica by @ndanae55
