More of the works I created to illustrate ‘Fresh on Her Mother’s Twigs’ - a spellbinding and poignant tale set across timelines by @kristianwriting for @quest.nyc Vol 2.

- A bride’s plum tart was the toast of her valley wedding; twenty years and one visit to the goblin market later, the wife bakes her husband one last dessert.

I wanted the illustrations to capture the fantastical and idyllic setting of the story - mimicking the landscape of an english wilderness, while emphasising its troublesome and unsettling themes.

CG sculpt inspired by / based on the famous Waterloo Helmet, which I made for the landing page of @quest.nyc Vol 2.

This relic from Iron age Britain symbolises power, fortitude and defiance. The original was too small and fragile for use in battle and was likely created to adorn a wooden statue of a Celtic diety. Now it adorns the home page of the Quest@mag website. The helmet was recovered from the river Thames where it was likely deposited as a votive offering. 🌀

Pov: Burial mound awakening/ Crocus emergence.

An awakening after 5000 years of slumber beneath the soil.

Crocus/ burial chamber 3D sculpt animation ft the Leek anglo saxon cross. Origionally made for display at BDome in Berlin - an event that was unfortunately cancelled :,(.
