How are you in heaven? I hope you’re finally able to run as freely as you always wanted, without being confined to my little room anymore.

Is it beautiful up there?

This past week has felt unbearably quiet. Even though I’m surrounded by people to talk to, I still miss hugging you before I left for work and the moment I came home. I miss kissing your little cheeks and gently running my fingers through your soft fur.

I still have your food, your toys, and so many little things that remind me of you. They’re all still here, just where you left them.

Thank you for giving me a reason to keep going throughout the past year. You brought so much comfort, happiness, and love into my life.

I’m sorry if I didn’t take care of you as well as I should have. I wish I could have done more for you.

I hope we’ll meet again at the gates of heaven someday.
