Herbert Charles - Something about her love
1998
Cameron Records

Mellow funk/soul/boogie private press by one Herbert Charles Smitherman Jr. who (I guess) at the time the album was recorded and released had already chosen his future to become Chief Medical Resident in Michigan only two years after his MD in 1987. Album itself hosts a number of talented musicians focused around Herbert’s own musical, vocal and lyrical talents delving into complexities of relationship. YACHT ROCK W/ MILOŠ VUKOVIĆ

This Saturday, we’re cruising on the Proces yacht with Miloš Vuković @nearmintvgplus, a big collector of vinyl records, mostly smooth jazz, AOR, jazz funk, slow disco, boogie, etc., but also delves into some groovy stuff as well.

Why are we cruising on the Proces yacht this Saturday? Yacht rock is a broad music style and aesthetic commonly associated with soft rock, one of the most commercially successful genres from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. You know, music from the 1970s and 1980s that’s like easy listening, smooth, people listen to it on their yachts drinking wines! Okay, let’s imagine ourselves like that and let’s do it! Paired with our wines😎

This Saturday, from 8:00 PM onwards, and however it goes!

Always a tough choice between remix and the original version from Uggla’s 1976 Livets Teater album.
