Everything is a canvas.

I found this little cotton rope bowl at Dollar Tree. It was plain white, which obviously meant it wasn’t going to stay that way.

A friend recently gave me some wonderfully obnoxious hot pink, orange and yellow paints, so I watered them down and let the color soak into the cotton. Right now it has this loose, almost tie-dyed look that I really love.

Once it dries a little more, I’m going back in with some detail. I’m not quite sure what yet—maybe a pattern, some line work, or whatever decides to happen once I start messing with it.

Because apparently I am incapable of looking at a plain white object and leaving it alone.

Mood Boards are essential for me to create within small parameters. I give myself three anchor colors and a mood. What do I want to feel like when I'm in this space? How do I want to be treated here, how do I feel about it?

City Solace: deep navy + periwinkle + burnt orange. Quiet, intelligent, slightly surreal, independent. It feels editorial—city life with a weird little private world tucked inside it.

Maxi-Homie: sunshine yellow + teal + black/white. Playful, energetic, creative, approachable. This is ART ROOM WITH NO ADULT SUPERVISION. 😂

Nature Couture: oxblood + peach + acid/chartreuse green. Dramatic, cultured, eccentric, lush. This one has the strongest “I am an artist and I will put a chartreuse wall behind an ornate gold frame because I damn well feel like it” energy. taken in Corpus Christi, Texas by @nebula1966

Can life get any better?
